I have PM'd Jules - hopefully positive news will follow later todayNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Yes there is a meter number but still do not think is fitted. Have not heard anything from Eon so have chased them on there Whatsapp "service" - which is terrible as each time you contact them you have to start from scratch again.1

Open the box!
Get it open somehow.
If you haven't had a metered supply than you are quids in.
If in fact you have got a meter somewhere sadly I think you will be many quids out.

I cannot open the box without breaking it, there is no triangular key hole, it is a flat featureless panel stuck to wall. I have been paying for gas (just over 1k p.a currently so about 3k going forward!!) so it is not like I have gone 8 years without paying - we were already connected up with Eon when bought the house.
As mentioned above I messaged Eon on their Whatsapp account yesterday afternoon. I received a response at 2.16am, so probably dealing with Australia again. Carried on conversation when woke up here and person was still live. No engineer has been booked as was indicated 3 weeks ago, currently no appointments available and person said would check in a few days time. Just to note, as both my children have Cystic Fibrosis, we are registered with Eon on their PSR (Priority Service Register), am not quite sure as to what Priority may mean.1 -
I am talking about the other box - the flat keyless one looks like what was once intended to be an electric meter box
Your photo of 1st Feb clearly shows a white box with a triangular lock.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill2 -
