I cannot open the box without breaking it, there is no triangular key hole

I am  talking about the other box -   the flat  keyless one looks like what was once intended to be an electric meter box

Your photo of 1st Feb clearly shows a white box with a triangular lock.
    Robin9 means this box:

We seem to be going around in circles!

I believe the picture above is the electricity meter box. The other box isn’t a box, just a flat panel.
No, we're not going around in circles.
Robin9 - and a couple of other posters - would like a photo of the inside of that box, the one with the door and the keyhole.
Are you able to satisfy their curiosity? At the very least they'll then stop asking!
Why do we want a picture of an electricity meter when we are looking for a gas meter?
The other posters seem to think it's a gas meter box, due to the shape of the door.

Until we see a picture we can't be sure, but to me I think that top box (with key) is electric
Or at least it looks like electric symbol when you zoom in, but then again you do see electric box doors on gas boxes and vice versa.

But I would definitely be pulling that other panel off, who knows what might be hidden in there!!

I think I said previously, I would be worried not knowing where my ECV is for 8 years

Because that's a gas meter box and it has a gas pipe going into it.

I have been following this thread for a while with interest and I too think this is a gas meter inside this box with a gas pipe going into the ground. Without clarification I suspect the OP might be having a laugh with us....wild goose chase comes to mind.

I suspect its one of those "gathering information  on how to deal with the supplier " posts rather than a wild goose chase. Its a gas box IMO and the fact the OP will not open it tells its own story .

This has been a wind-up for some time.

Guess which of my meter boxes contains the gas meter? :)

In some of my working days I worked for for electric supply companies designing supplies to new housing estates and also installing mains and services on them.

The laying of the services on the plots was often down to the builder and his subcontractors.  Some were very good .  others not so and it was not unknown for electric cables to be laid to the gas meter box position and vice versa !    The electric boxes had a hockey stick plastic tube which went up the cavity - the gas went up the outside in a pipe.

    All things are possible.

Open the box and smash the door off the other one and let us see who's right please.

In my experience anything is possible in old house, conversions, extensions  - under the sink, top of doors, under the stairs , built in to a cupboard - but here we have a new build 8 years old. which is as it was when it was built.

Still not convinced it's a gas box, but happy to be wrong if he ever shows us.

Guess which of these is a gas box? Each have the "pipe" so his picture could still be electric

That one is easy - the box with the vents in the door is (or should be) the gas box.
