Re-read post #4 of the NEWBIES thread if you didn't have it in your head 100% about Debt Recovery Plus.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

There is a possibility that I might have to sell the vehicle that forms the subject of this thread fairly soon. Will this be problematic in the grand scheme of things?0

No, not in the slightest. Just make sure you update the V5C with the DVLA. You can do this online if you wish. Take screengrabs or photos of the paper version if you choose that method.I married my cousin. Just thought I’d share my experience of the no stopping fine I received in January 2023.
I followed the advice on the NEWBIES thread, ie appealed and then ignored (but kept) all the letters they sent.
The final one I have received was in June 23 and this just said I needed to keep them up to date with any change of address.
So cross fingers this is now put to bed but I appreciate that they could still take me to court for another 5 years.1 -
Its been a while but in relation to all of this, I ended up selling my car and heard nothing more from Debt Recovery Plus. Fast forward to Dec 24 and out of the blue received a letter from Trace Debt Recovery, so it would appear that UKCPS have not given up the ghost yet. I then received the attached letter from the same organisation at the end of January. Any advice at this stage?0

Apologies, forgot to add the letter!0

Continue to ignore debt recovery letters as per NEWBIES post 4. TRACE are lying when they say "Remember a CCJ would affect your credit rating and increase the money you owe".
Check the factual info in NEWBIES post 2 and read about the Letter of Claim you are awaiting and will respond to.1 -
Trace usually leads to BW Legal. I wouldn't reply to their Letter of Claim, they usually go back down their hole after that.1

Easy to defend. @zand needs to search the forum for Moorside UKCPS Claim. Read up!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
