arghhhh said:I've spoken to postmen about it, but they say that because it's addressed to her, they'll continue to deliver it all to her. I feel like I'm going mad. This is a good cause to complain against the postmen here. The legal status of mail is that the name is irrelivent. Therfore if they knopw she no longer lives there they are possibnly commiting a crime. Maybe tryinfg to be helpful, however research into this and make a complint agaist them to make it stop then start returning all the mail. (Or binning it).

Yup, I believe it was two. I only found out when I was looking at documents for a check recently, and the person had one address for a financial document and another on their driving licence (parents' address). I was told that was fine!arghhhh said:
I've read it wrong then. When I had a CRB check in the past I needed two.Savvy_Sue said:DBS only needs one proof of current address.
Not that that is much comfort to the OP ...Signature removed for peace of mind1 -
When I moved in to my home, I continued to receive letters for the previous owner despite sending them back as 'addressee unknown'. It was only when I finally sent them back as 'addressee deceased' that they stopped. Clearly that wont work for parcels but it will work for some letters.
Ultimately, though, it's clear this is affecting your mental health quite dramatically. Pushing the police repeatedly might get some results at some point but, if the woman is mentally unwell, the chances are the police won't be able to stop her behaviour either. As blunt as this might sound (and apologies if it is), have you thought about moving? You shouldn't have to, but if it comes to that or your health, I'd choose to move. You won't have to declare this when you move as you're not in dispute with your neighbours (as she isn't your neighbour...)

This is crazy.
In your own house, she got familiar because you were giving her letters to her to begin with.
8 cameras wow, must be really fed up.
Don't waste your time returning the post everyday if not convinent to you, pile them up and drop off when suitable or bin it.
Old occupier does not seem mentally stable.
I had a similar encounter, was doing return to sender after 2 months they did a redirection.1 -
Unfortunately, I was in a car accident less than a year after we moved here and I've been left disabled and unable to work in the sector I'm qualified. I'm planning on working from home, but I need specialist equipment which I can't afford at the moment since only my husband is working. I search grants every other day, but I just fall out of boxes. A disabled facilities grant does not cover business start up costs, so because our income has gone down, we would not be able to afford to move. Also we would not be able to afford a house like what we own - they didn't exist on our budget, so we bought this run down house and my husband added bedrooms as we were really lacking space in our old house. We've spent years slowly fixing it and it would be devastating if it was all for nothing.dmcint said:When I moved in to my home, I continued to receive letters for the previous owner despite sending them back as 'addressee unknown'. I really thought this would be what would happen for us once I began returning, but it just sent her into a rage. I only began refusing parcels and letters when she assaulted me because I really wanted to sort this out without conflict.london21 said:This is crazy.

Where we used to live, the mail re-direction in place for the previous occupants (landlord's son) ended. The postman apologised to us when he delivered post for them (small village so he knew everyone) as that was what he had to do. We didn't mind. Sounds like your old postie was doing a naughty not delivering to the property.I know you don't like mobile phones, but would a voice recorder work to log harassment?May you find your sister soon Helli.

Definitely involve The Nursing and Midwifery Council, she could be struck off the register for this behaviour. Even unqualified nurses have to be registered.

Did your husband get anywhere with Royal Mail yesterday?1

So far the cameras are keeping her away. They've been up just over a week.TripleH said:Where we used to live, the mail re-direction in place for the previous occupants (landlord's son) ended.
