You need to put return to sender and pop in back in the post pox.
I'm sure eventually the message will get through when people contact the person to state they are having problems sending mail
It's been 7 years! It's very stressful not knowing what they are doing it for. They have had our financial mail in the past and could have kept mail or taken notes/photographs of it for all we know. The problem is that this is not a rational person and they don't act in a way that can be predicted. I've been returning to sender and writing not known at this address, I've involved the police, I've reported her to every organisation that will listen, but the problem isn't going away. She's even attempted to have building materials delivered to us. Her boyfriend had friends of his knock on our door in autumn asking for him and the past owner - the friends were confused why we were in THEIR house, which has me wondering if she is telling people other than companies that she still lives here.
If financial correspondence relating to you is addressed to you at your address, how did this person get hold of it?

She got the postie to give it to her, but that was an old postie and the new postie puts the mail through the letterbox. (It's written in earlier posts)

Wonder if putting deceased would have any come back?
This is slightly naughty, but writing "RTS Addressee Deceased", might stop some mail.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

Call the DBS and explain your concerns, that may force them to investigate what she is up to!
I've called them and they made a note on her file. I had a crime reference number but they didn't have a box for that. They said it may get passed on to her employer, but it didn't seem very likely from what was said.

This person has had a criminal record check using our address and to do this must have at least two other proof of ID documents in her name at our address, which could be a passport, credit card, driving licence, insurance etc...

I didn't think that passports were connected with any particular address.  Obviously a bank will need the right address to send CC statements, likewise driving license renewals, insurance....potentially she's not paying her bills, not got a valid driving license if she's not updated the address and insuring your house rather than her own.  All the more reason for letters to continue to be returned to sender so her driver license can be cancelled eventually and the rest.

Somewhere in this someone states that she's a nurse - I do think that telling her employer, whomever that is, about her behaviour might be productive.  Lots of employers take antisocial behaviour very seriously as it can put their business in jeopardy for a variety of reasons.  If she's NHS would they be comfortable with an aggressive individual working on the wards?  The fact that they are aware of her behaviour outside of work means that if there is a complaint inside work they could be considered liable.
I think you're right about the passport thing. I did a search to see what she would have needed to do to prove her address and I think passport was in one of the columns, but maybe not for the address proof.

This person lived here 7 years ago and knows the postman and he'll give her it if she walks/drives past his van and anywhere else she sees him. Our mail has the same address as her mail because she's using our address and it's all banded together, so she has received our mail in the past.

I've read it wrong then. When I had a CRB check in the past I needed two.

If she's a nurse report her to the Nursing and Midwifery Council as she sounds unhinged and is potentially a danger to herself and possibly her patients
This is what my husband was trying to get across to the police. I found a details for reporting fraud within the NHS today, so I've contacted them. They have said that they will forward details to anyone concerned and took the crime reference number.
