Does TUPE not come into play?  Would the staff not just move across to the new supplier?

No. The SoLR is not taking over the business of Together Energy, just the customers.

A small number of staff will likely be kept on by administrators to sort out producing final bills and transferring details to the SoLR but the majority will have lost their jobs.

The stories that have come to light lately, about TE's appalling billing systems, the administrators will have to take on extra staff to try to untangle the mess!!

Octopus offered jobs to most of the Avro staff.

I was with Bristol Energy, briefly, and can't submit a meter reading because the password-reset link isn't working.

I'd mentioned on this forum just a couple of days ago how odd it was they had hiked people's direct debits out of proportion to their projected spend.  As I suspected, this was probably a last-ditch attempt to improve cash flow.

Have to say the one bill I did get from them was very clear.

As mentioned above I cancelled my DD yesterday afternoon. This morning I received two emails from BE. The first says my DD has been cancelled by my bank and if I don't put it back I'll have to pay a higher standing charge. The second says BE has cancelled my DD in response to my cancellation and I now have to pay more for my energy.  These two emails were exactly 2 minutes apart. So it looks like I'll have to pay a few pence more for the last few days I'm with them. Anyone else thinking of cancelling their DD might well want to wait until the SoLR is appointed and they are officially no longer a customer.

Bristol Energy (and Together Energy) do not go legally into Administration until Ofgem appoints/announces a SoLR. At that point, Supply Licences are revoked.

British Gas have been appointed SoLR.
But as they're already SOLR for something like half a million other customers, this could take a long while.

BG are still switching people on to BG Zero Fix October 22 as of yesterday.
Bristol Energy and Together Energy customers should get on to BG chat and ask to be switched to this tariff.
