I hadn't realised B@dum were still going. I have several cafetieres from when I worked for the UK importers before they set up their own. Whoops just realised it is over 30 years ago. They definitely didn't do travel mugs back then though.

They were pretty fashionable years ago I remember 😆 the original plastic travel mug was a gift from a friend as I tend to buy everything as cheap as possible and it was quite pricey, but it’s lasted years and is so nice to drink from, I can’t bear weird tasting cups 😬

Gas and electric bill in for this month today 😩
So it’s less than last month, at £175.11 for electric and £196.50 for gas, last year we were paying £150pm for both 😱 comparing the usage, gas was 126 kWh per day last year , now it’s 62kwh, and electric was 20kw per day and is now 16kw. The heating has been on a few times but in general off a lot 🥶 however that means how much will it go down in warmer months, not a lot?! Our DD is still at £280 pm and we are £286.16 in credit….Taking great aunt out for a coffee this morning (and taking mum) then popping to Tesco to get hopefully reasonably priced jacket potatoes as they are all eating at ours tonight before we go and see the whale at the cinema (passes and meerkat codes, so maybe only one ticket payable out of 8/9) I think it’s the easier and cheapest dinner considering all their different eating choices and arrival times 😆
Wearing my new pink sweatshirt today and am feeling bright and summery even though I’ve thermals underneath 😬 it making me think I need to stop schlepping around in grey fleeces and tracksuit bottoms! Time to make more of an effort 😁MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6 -
Took mum and great aunt out yesterday and aunt offended mum my saying she’s made of money 🤦🏼♀️ I’m always trying to get mum to make allowances for her as she can be a bit blunt but lately she’s been rude every time. I do feel sorry for her though I think she’s just not great with social skills and has MH issues.
Moving on, went to see “The whale” last night which was a really good film, had me in tears. Managed to get all eight of us in with four passes and four meerkat codes , I had to buy two new travel insurance policies but they were less than £2 each and there was £2 from tcb for purchasing 😆 some bought their own drinks but most took cups of tea or cans of drink.- £40.78 Tesco spent
£295.17 /£500 spent so far this monthMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁1 -

Debsnewbudget said:I saw The Whale yesterday. Found it quite depressing.Spending confessional time:
- £25 , £12 M&S one pack of 4x knickers- They stopped making my usual ones and I can’t find replacements I like, it’s a wasteful pursuit when they are no good! Also 3 x sleep vests for £10 and daffs for best friend, £1 rolls.
- £14 primarni on a striped T’ shirt, pj shorts to go with vests
- £22.50 on 3x capped sleeved plain T-shirts, threw my old ones last year as worn out and faded.
- £6.25 shower gel, crisps, nuts for squirrels
A real blow out, no excuse except I felt like it, although I have bought useful things I’ll use. Accidentally put the M&S stuff on the wrong card as it should have come from personal spends, I’ll take it out of the £500 budget I think this month as it’s easier, will pay back if I run out of money!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
A little spending done today, spent £4.12 on 2x coffees in n@ros (got 25% off with meerkat codes) while meeting friends, it’s become a regular thing since old friend moved back from Thailand before Xmas, we sit for ages so it’s worth the couple of rounds of coffee we get through 😆
Adding yesterdays spending with todays the total spent so far this month is £380.23 /£500 and I have a Tesco delivery coming tomorrow.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
