Feeling bleugh today, out for a curry with parents, brother and the boys/Dil last night, dads treat. Eating at nearly 10pm still 😩 I’m usually in bed many hours before that lately 😆 Dh is off to potter doing his private work this morning and then at some point we are meeting Dd, sil and Dgd who we haven’t seen for a very long time, so that will be good hopefully. Yesterday I made up the Xmas hampers, I bought some green holly paper from £land the other day (£2) and it’s so good I might buy more for wrapping gifts, very traditional looking, One roll did three large cardboard boxes and lids, I think it was about 12m.
Food budget is now at £156.71 left from £400, but I did go and buy all the rest of the hamper bits this week from that, Including roast potato flavour crisps?! Won’t they just taste like normal crisps 🤷‍♀️ maybe I should have bought myself some to test. We still have a fair bit of food, so we may well stay within budget this month.

I wasted a bit of time on the phone this week to the home ins people (they matched my online quote ) at £166 for building and contents (always basic cover) and then $ky who whacked up our tv from £53 to £80, after three callls and going through to cancel, I got it for £40. Still a lot but I use multi room upstairs and it’s n3tflix as well. We could do without if we had to but we make good use of it 🙂 water has reduced from £60 to £58 pm this bill, no idea why really as I’m still as clean 😬
I’m currently counting down the days until my regular saver ends, it’s the 21st, the savings themselves are earmarked for the remainder of the 0% cc, but the interest will go towards the Goodwood tickets, hopefully somewhere around the £85 ish mark, I don’t think I’ve ever done a regular saver before, it’s quite exciting now it’s near the end.

We had regular savers come out last week, like you we were very excited to get to the end and get that interest !

Well it’s been a weekend of highs and lows, I’m tired and a bit fed up with family stuff, but on the bright side I went to the boot sale at 7am today with both sons and after wandering around freezing and having been unsuccessful in my hunt for vintage Xmas wrap and decorations, we walked past a big stall with a lady shouting come and get it, all for free. I looked down and saw a pile of Xmas bits and what looked to me like some perhaps 50s or 60s baubles! So I took them and gave the lady a pound to say thanks 😬 ds2 grabbed a few more modern bits too. I’ve washed them and most are usable.
I’ve cleared another whole bin bag of clothes for the charity shop again tomorrow, most of it DH’s very old stuff this time, then I cut up an old nightie for cleaning rags. It’s slow but I am keeping going with trying to clear stuff out, it’s got to help stress levels and I’m sick of stuff.
