Lots of running around yesterday , checking on my parents cat while they are away , little brother is staying there but at work and he’s on his last legs (the cat!) so I go in at lunchtime. Also took dil to her dads to return the dog which she had to have overnight, it’s great to see her but tricky as she has to be kept separate from the cats, dil didn’t feel well so I drove her.
- Poundland for Lemsips and hand wash £5.25
Now £447.13/ £500 spent in Feb so £52.87 left until 1st March, I do have a Tesco shop booked for Friday with £5 cashback over £50 via topcashback , but I think I might use the £5 off £25 from Lidl offer instead which runs out in six days instead. Food shopping is getting more and more stressful, I think it’s the downside of being careful and knowing how much each item normally costs, I now get annoyed every time I see each item jump up! Tesco value chips £1.65 last night, I’m sure they were 89p a few weeks ago.I got a full year’s delivery pass for Tesco which runs out in August, and I LOVE it as I hate shopping, but perhaps it’s time to maybe get back to Aldi/Lidl , I don’t know, most of our Tesco shop is value now anyway 🤔MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4 -

Dh got paid earlier than usual this month so I’ve tried to work out the exact figures early, I’m pleased with the fact we are another month down, although these type of challenges always make me feel like I’m wishing my life away 😆MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁8 -
Hi NG,
I've just spent a lovely afternoon reading your diary! It's such a great balance between living life and spending time with people you love, and saving money to get rid of the mortgage.I love the idea of posting your spends and savings! I don't think I could do it every day but every week I might manage!!Thanks for the inspiration!Save £20,000 in 2025. April 2k, May 3.5k3 -
Blimey, I had no idea SGD was that old 😳 in my head she's still the age she was when DD got together with her Dad! Excellent mortgage figures as always NG, looking forward to hearing how you intend to make that £41.64 last a month 🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed

Hi Earthgirl, thanks for ready and posting such nice comments 😊
Southcoast tell me about it, I’m 47 with a step granddaughter going to prom 😂 I had dd young but her dad was only 16 😱
I’m not sure I’ll last the month on that either, it’s my birthday next week which will mean a dinner out with friends and maybe a lunch, plus extra food to have the kids over ( too many to take out and pay 😆) so I’ll probably dip into birthday money I will probably get, even though all birthdays and Xmas cash gifts are supposed to be saved this year, oops! Thanks try harder 😊
Well dh is at work again today, we have to visit his parents this weekend, not sure if it will be tonight after work or tomorrow, hopefully tonight so Sunday is free but I doubt it 🙄
I’m starting to feel the urge to exercise, it will probably pass soon so I should make the most of it! Perhaps I will start with tidying he garden up…MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6
