Sorry to hear but at least you have some progress now with a diagnosis.   Fingers xd you get an appointment.   Once you know more you can decide about going private.   One way of looking at it is they have the money, they want to help, you would be doing exactly the same if it was one of your kids.  The more people that can afford to go private means it leaves NHS appointments for those that have no other options.  Heart issues dont sound like vanity surgery that you can defer for another time ?  (I've tried to think of the reasons why you wouldn't want to let your folks help and give you counter arguments so you have another side to the dilemma but there's probably something else in your mind).

Wishing you peaceful thoughts until you get more info xxxxx

Sorry you didn’t get the all clear but at least you know what you are dealing with now. Have a think about what you want to do and chat with gp but if you need or want to go private just do it and don’t stress.

Thanks guys, finally had the nerve to Google wait times and I think it’s 6 months plus as there’s been a massive rise in wait times so I’m going to accept as this coupled with the anxiety it is not a great combo, I had about 3 hours sleep last night and could only mange toast to eat all day yesterday 🙄

No update from the bank on the scammed money yet, they said two weeks so I guess it’s early days. I’ll try and sort out selling the cruise’s today, dh did suggest giving ours away to one of the kids (more likely ds2 due to the others jobs probably) will have to see.

    To do list for today:

Try get an emergency gp appointment at 8am

    collect prescription

Try and list cruise to sell on f@cebook reselling page and work out how it’s done

Post Amazon sandals back as I ordered extra to try

    cook Thai green curry

    go to cinema this evening

try and have a nap so I can stay up later and sleep through!

Sorry about diagnosis.   That is a worry.    Re getting an appointment, does your surgery offer a queue system?  Mine allows for phone calls at 8.30 but really difficult to get through and the appointments are usually gone, but, it also has a system where you can turn up and wait until it opens.  From about 8.15 there is a gathering of village regulars who really want/need an appointment that day and they are given priority.

I hate the system personally but have stood in line from 8.15 (where i was 6th) and waited until they open the doors and by 8.55 had an appointment which I wouldn't have got if I had phoned.    I tell myself it is like something from the 1920s or 40s
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Oh dear Watty that sounds bad too! I went in yesterday with all my paperwork and was told the emergency ones go out by phone at 8am, they did tell me to email the surgery with the back story and tell them the earliest is 25th April which I did and they called back in an hour with the option to use a physician associate at the weekend or try and 8am , so I shall do that first as they wouldn’t let me book the weekend then cancel, I’d really rather see a gp.

It’s been a surprise as they have always been my surgery and I’ve never know it like this before ☹️

Just catching up Newgirly and can see you've had a lot going on.

Fingers crossed the banking stuff is resolved soon. It was lovely to read about the OP money DH had been saving - I wish my DH would surprise me like that!

Sorry to hear about your health issues, hope you can get seen again soon and have a plan etc.

Thanks Cath, although I’m whipping through it with private tests and giving it away to scammers 😂

Sorry to hear it's not an all-clear NG, but as others have said, good that you have a diagnosis and know what you're dealing with. Hope you get an appointment this morning.
