I do hope all goes well with your recent tests. The price of food out is very pricy. Just a couple of coffee’s cost a fortune. xx2025 Decluttering 10472⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Was there fish with the chips, or literally just chips? Fish and chips for two is about £27 here (although we do have big portions 😀), so not out of the way if there was anything other than chips?Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

The other week I paid about £21ish for a fish supper, sausage supper (you get 2 sausages in batter each about 6inch long), 2 pickles, 1 pickled egg and a bottle of chippy sauce as we were running out and thats simply Not On in the daisy household !

Well I was debating whether to post this or not today as I am so embarrassed that I am capable of doing something so stupid, but I’m going to as this diary has always been (sometimes too) honest 🙄 Yesterday I sent money to a scammer who texted me and I believed to be one of the kids ☹️ it’s a scam I’ve seen discussed on tv and thought how silly how could you fall for that. But it just happened to catch me at a day and a time when there’s been a lot going on and I was stressed and tired, I thought it was ds1 and as the flat is about to go through and he was out the house at the time I just didn’t think. It’s £1543 with a second payment of £420 which the bank stopped going through. Even afterwards I didn’t realise until I saw ds1 this morning and he knew nothing about it.The bank are looking into it and and there’s a possibility we may get it back but they don’t know. I’ve reported online to the police too. Apparently it’s a relatively new crime that’s taken off in the last six months by gangs who recruit teenagers do to it. I can’t imagine many fall for something so obvious and simplistic, I think if it was any other time I wouldn’t have fallen for it and not thought. Dh has been great after a little swearing 😆 and I’ve had hugs off both the boys, with ds2 getting stuck in with the lend us some money jokes within a couple of hours 😂 if nothing else it’s taken my mind of the scan results for a bit!So I will check the finances soon as it seems I can see online banking again now as the bank had cut it, I’m going to take the full amount from the mortgage and refill the pots I had raided to send it out, if we get it back i will put it back in later on fingers crossed. Just can’t believe I have done this, I’m naturally very suspicious of most things but just had a brain freeze I think. On a lighter note we went to see the new Ghostbusters film and dh bought me ice cream for a treat (can’t use my card!) and both the ice cream and the film were great 😊MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁7 -
Glad the ice cream and film were a good distraction. Don’t beat yourself up - it’s because people have stressy, busy days that these scum get away with these things. Hope the bank sort it though and you’re able to get your money back. Not what you need! XMortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Thanks Vix, I’ve calmed down a bit today about it all, well for a bit anyway, until the health company rang to say my results will be back first thing and they have an appointment for me at 8.30am tomorrow instead of Thursday 😱 trying to to panic as it’s so fast!My account is unlocked now so that’s something good I guess, still need to go through everything and see what’s what as we seem to be spending money fast at the moment as well as me giving it away 🙄 hopefully this will go back to being a mortgage free diary soon with no drama 😆MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6

Hopefully it's just a case of a cancellation that means you're being seen quicker. Hope it goes well.

Not great news today, the echo results show a blocked heart valve one side which will need surgery 😩 not what I was expecting to be honest! I’ve been told to see my normal gp asap to have some checks (they have not done any in the last two appointments) and there are no emergency appointments until April 25th I was told today, so I need to ring first thing every day.Anyway my parents have offered to pay to go private which I’m very fortunate but not sure about yet, I have got an appointment to see a cardiologist tuesday to hopefully find out how urgent it is, my report says severe though so not sure that’s a good sign!Surprisingly the insurance company will still insure me for the cruise but I really don’t fancy going, I’m still getting palpitations and have seen a few people getting winched off by helicopter which has put me off 😆 I think we will try to sell mum and dads cruise as they don’t want to go without us, not sure about ours yet as I booked though a company who don’t even have a phone number so I’m waiting for an email reply. There’s a f@cebook group for reselling cruises though so it’s a possibility.Kids have been great, dd came over for a cuppa tonight, ds1 is out but ds2 has been enjoying himself with many heart and funeral related quips to cheer me up, it’s given me a break from the lend me some money jokes from the weekend 😂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3
