I'm sorry tensions are at a high. Hopefully this will calm down soon. I think nandos can be great, did you enjoy yourself!

Shame about the velvetiser, is there nothing else you can use it for?

Busy day indoors today, somehow I’ve done over 11k steps pottering about 😆 all my washing is done although not dry still, bed changed, meters read, plus a bit of cleaning and clothes sorting. I’ve sold another couple of items today, total now a frustrating £299! 35 items sold so far and lots still left although nothing worth much expect one bag that’s being reviewed to be listed as it’s a posh make.

Time has flown by KP, it’s probably the only thing I’ve ever stuck at 😆

Had a chat with dh last night about what we might do with more money when it’s paid off, he’s got a lot more keen since we are getting closer to the end now 😂 I’m not sure our allocation ideas are on the same page but we have a long time to work that out, it kind of feels like its free money to blow but the reality is there’s a lot we should have been paying for and haven’t, like home repairs and a new car.

Plans for today are see best friend, get a Mother’s Day gift for my mum, make a Thai green curry, post vinted parcels,  get all the washing dry and put away and feed mums cat as they are in York.

I’m also wondering when the best time to start planting my herb garden is? I’d like to do what I did years ago and have a small table or shelf outside with some not too small pots of herbs, probably last time they were from the supermarket, but I’m guessing the garden centre or B&Q for more established plants might be better, I might need to source a small table to put them on as that work quite well last time, when is the time right to plant out though?

It depends on the herbs - rosemary, sage, thyme, bay are all hardy, but parsley, coriander, basil you’ll need to wait until the risk of frosts has passed, so May. You could sow seeds for them now though and keep inside on a sunny windowsill. Basil needs humidity to germinate - wrap the pot in a clear plastic bag. Once it’s germinated you can remove the bag.

How wonderful to see your mortgage finish line ! 33 years to 14 ..

Hope your heart is feeling better and nothing serious
happy belated birthday/ I always find birthday meals best in places where it’s either food where the chefs can cook it better than I with better ingredients such as Indian,  Japanese etc or  if it’s super clever food where I am not going to spend the time making the food look that good

I am so looking forward to having a garden and having a herb patch - it’s my first thing - followed by tomatoes!
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
