Thanks Vix, I popped in M&S yesterday and bought some salad and fruit as a start. I have booked a gp appointment as I’m still getting mild palpitations off and on but I’m a bit reluctant to go as if they want to do any tests or an ecg I won’t get the result back in time before we go away, so no insurance and we can’t go. I’m pretty sure it’s anxiety /hormones and my Apple Watch says all is normal, I will see how it does for the next few weeks as the appointment is mid March, if it’s eased off I’ll book for after holiday.

Two racks of towels I put out and forgot about yesterday are still in the garden in the rain now 😩  the weather is all over the place at the moment, I wish it would just stay dry for a bit as it helps getting the washing dry, with six adults and no tumble dryer we can sometimes get overloaded if everyone’s drying the same days.
I’ll be making a slow cooker full of spag Bol today for dh and two of the others of they want it tonight, and maybe a curry for the others and myself, they mostly cook their own now but a couple of times a week I make pot of something they can share too.

It’s half payday today ( the part that comes from the business where the rent gets paid to from the factory) so a mini money shuffle needs doing, it’s a couple of days earlier than last month thank goodness as I’m running very low!

Are your iron levels ok NG? Low iron (not as bad as anaemia) can cause palpitations apparently. I’m all read up on low iron symptoms at the moment and the floradix stuff seems to be helping (I’m honestly not on commission!). Apparently much of the adult population is iron deficient (but not enough to be considered anaemia). I occasionally get palpitations but have  to say I haven’t since I started this - it may be coincidence though as they are only occasional.

Hi vix, yes I have low iron and the dr prescribed iron tablets that were a nightmare for my tummy so I stopped and now take H&B gentle iron tablets , much lower dose though, hadn’t thought of that even though I know it can cause it, thanks 😊

Oh that's a pity that they caused problems for your tummy, but it does have the potential to be a side effect!

  • Palpitations are also a symptom of Perimenopause. The balance app is a great resource for information and logging your symptoms x

Oh no just lost a huge post 😳

Hi bargainhunter, I’ve actually been using that app for a few months now to track things it’s really good, I will have a look to see if there’s any advice on there thank you 😊 I think if things don’t get any worse I shall cancel the appointment (in good time of course) and book it for after the holiday, today seems better but then I haven’t seen much of my family 😂

Nice and sunny here today, I’ve actually put the heating on to get some washing dry as it seems all the airers are full as everyone’s washed at once, plus ds1 and partner are working from home and it’s still pretty cold.

Spent ages yesterday finding, steaming and listing 31 items on vinted, sold three new items since for £15 total, it’s amazing how many old clothes are tucked away in drawers and boxes. After ds1 moves out we will have another spare room, I want to be in the habit of no clutter before we decide what to do with it.

Wow that is impressive with the Vinted listing and 3 sales. I love the app it is so easy much better than Ebay. Exciting to have another spare room soon although I am sure you will miss ds1 when he goes. I have lost track is that back to a "kids free" house?

  • Your vinted sales are inspiring - I still havent started. Any tips to start? Do you have to pre weigh for the postage ? I know they pay

I take chorella and spirulina daily and feel amazing  - maybe try with one or the other - I take both for the inflammation as well..

I would also go for the sea view /bigger room for £300 and keep my grocery budget down/vinted sales up.. For a cruise it will amplify the experience
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I found with iron tablets you might have to try a few before you find one that you can tolerate.  My GP was pretty understanding about this and perscribed different things for me until we found one that worked.  I don’t recall having heart palpitations when anaemic but used to wake up at night feeling like i wasn’t getting enough breath - quite anxiety inducing when I didn’t know what was causing it!
