  • What a beautiful day, washing is hung out and i've already managed to dry one load on the line, feels as though spring has sprung.

Crazy busy week at work and was shattered by Friday night.

Did a grocery shop on Friday on the way home from work, spent £65 in Mr L, Freezer still full even though i havn't really been buying a huge amount to go into the freezer this month so I have reduced food budget for March. Did some baking today chocolate brownie and coconut cake.
Payday tomorrow  and i have checked accounts, underspent on groceries, fuel and personal spends and have scraped together £100 which has gone off CC1, approx £350 left on CC1 so i have reduced my personal spends and grocery budget fro March and i'm going to put less into savings as well and pay that card off tomorrow.

Feeling blessed to have a safe place to live, my heart is breaking for the people of Ukraine.
  • Quick update - £100 to savings, £100 overpayment to mortgage, £200 overpayment to CC1 £150 left to pay on this card which i will have done by the end of the week.

  • Morning, hope all is well. Looks as though we are going to have some nice weather today so washing machine is on so i can get the first load pegged out.

Super busy week at work and ended up covering in different classes due to staff absences.

Finances are ticking along CC1 has been cleared  :), DH was paid on Tuesday so he sent £300 overpayment to mortgage.
Did the weekly food shop on the way home from work last night, had a £3 off £20 spend for MrT so went there to stock up on bits i can't get in Lidl, timed it right as i managed to get quite a few loaves of bread reduced down to 30 and 40p, managed to play tetris and get them wedged in the freezer, total spend came to £28.Then nipped in to lidl as i had a £10 voucher from the app to use, total after that was £3.45.

Cars making a rattling noise when ever i go over a bump, think it might be the exhaust, fingers crossed its not major, DH is going to take a look then ring the garage.

    Have a great weekend xx
  • Ordered 4 tops from M&S for work, just basic tshirts in different colours, used £17 in vouchers so cost me £1.80 in actual money, having them delivered to store to save on postage.
Postie has been and brought me £5 Booths reward voucher, so that will be used for any top up shopping n the week.
  • Dh decided he wanted a fish finger sandwich for lunch, so i have done some baking so the oven heat didn't go to waste for 3 fish fingers, made a cherry and coconut cake, chocolate brownie and sultana and walnut cake, run our of SR flour now so that has gone on list for next week when i use my £5 voucher.
  • Morning,it has frozen overnight here and is so cold, so i have lit the woodburner. Will put some washing on the airer to dry once washer has finished, hopefully it will warm up outside as the day goes on and i can get some washing pegged out, managed to dry 3 loads on the line yesterday.
Dh popped into garage yesterday on his way back from work and whatever was rattling on the exhaust was a 30 second fix and no charge.
Went to a friends birthday bash yesterday evening which was in a local pub, didn't stay late as DH was up early for work this morning and it was also so noisy, the music was way too loud that you couldn't actually talk to each other and that meant that the only area that was quieter was packed with people and i didn't feel comfortable standing so close to random people.
Have done the meal plan for the week, we are out for tea tomorrow to celebrate MIL birthday. Tonight i have got a piece of beef out of the freezer for a roast, need to make batter for yorky puds and need to check veg in the fridge to see what needs using up, might do some cheesy leeks. Frugal brekkie this morning reduced bread for toast and eggs laid by our chucks, I can tell the days are getting lighter as we are starting to get more eggs which is good.

  • Have put £21 onto DS lunch account instead of £25 as he had £4 left from last week still, so have sent £4 OP to CC2.
