Sun_Addict said:That's really good news about being in credit this time of year with over a year's grace on the locked in tariff. Unfortunately our tariff ended last month although we are over £200 in credit at the moment which is a miracle this time of year as we're usually in debit.0

Morning, feeling a bit restless and feeling as though i should be doing more to save money, putting it down to the fact i usually do a money shuffle on the 19th as this is when rental money comes in but as it's the weekend it won't happen until Monday. Also Friday is usually grocery shop day but i didn't go yesterday as i'm trying to eat out of the freezer, we have milk, bread and butter so didn't feel the need although it's niggling at me that i'm out of my routine
.
So continuing with frugal Feb I refilled a spray cleaning bottle with dilluted flash multi purpose, i usually use this on floors but thought it would be fine for the bathroom and kitchen units, i can't use it on the worktops anyway as they are solid oak.
Went on a freezer forage and have taken out flat breads, bread rolls, crumpets, banana bread, beef brisket, chicken breast and sausages, weekend meal plan -
Sat Bfast - crumpets.
Lunch - egg/tuna sandwiches, banana bread, fruit
Tea - spicy chicken flatbreads , wedges and salad.
Sun Bfast - sausage sandwiches
Lunch - HM soup (need to get out of freezer) left over crumpets/bread rolls/flat bread, fruit
Tea - Beef brisket, yorky puds, roast spuds, carrots and cabbage.
It's chucking it down at the moment and i have some jobs to do in the garden, fingers crossed there is a break in the weather at some point.
To do list
Boil eggs
Make choc brownies to use up dark chocolate left from christmas.
Marinate chicken in yogurt and spices.
Meal plan for the week and shopping list
Sort sock bag out
Laundry
clean bathroom
tidy my bedroom
garden tidy (weather permitting)
Hoover/dust living room
Looks like a busy day ahead, have a good weekend xx0 -
Managed to get most jobs done, still need to do bathroom and finish putting laundry away.
So far today it has rained, snowed, rained and now its sleety stuff and the roads are covered in slush.
Extra mouth to feed that i wasn't expecting DD boyfriend turned up at lunchtime as his job had been cancelled and ground was too wet for digger, he had his lunch and then Dh dragged him off to work with him for a few hours, he is self employed so only gets paid for when he works so at least he has still earnt some money this afternoon. luckily there is enough chicken for us all tonight and he is staying until Monday so will just do extra potatoes and yorky puds tomorrow.

HI penny, good that you've got some credit on your energy account. Mine's already gone up and waiting for it to hit further. Hopefully we can turn the heating off soon but I'm going to start turning it down at least.
Your jobs put me to shame, after a day off yesterday I thought I was doing well with a bit of shopping, washing and cleaning the lounge!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, nice of your dh to give dd boyfriend some work.

So today is not a good day my anxiety is through the roof and i'm struggling to focus on anything, took the dogs out later than usual for their walk and ended up turning round and coming home after half an hour, i could see people coming towards me in the distant and couldn't face stopping and talking to anyone (small community everyone knows each other). I have a frog to eat tomorrow which is niggling at me and also have busy week back at work to contend with.
A few small jobs to do today ironing, make a roast dinner (brisket is cooking) and walk dogs again.1 -
Sorry to hear that your anxiety has surfaced. Do you have mechanisms in place to deal with it? Is it the frog and work setting it off? Be kind to yourself 🤗I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Morning, I've been up since 6 even though it's the last day of my holidays, does mean i've got a few things done though. Feeling less stressed today.
Half of the frog that has been bothering me has been done, the rest will have been dealt with by this evening.
I've cancelled Britb0x subscription, it was 3 months at 99p a month, we watched a couple of things but to be honest havn't used it enough to warrant paying full price.
Rent money has gone into account, so have done some money shuffles.
Paid £50 overpayment off cc1, i'm hoping this will be paid off by the end of March.
Paid £100 off cc2, this is normal payment not an extra.
Paid £50 into savings.
Paid £22 onto Ds lunch account, I usually pay £25 but there was already £3 on it. Must pay the £3 off CC1.
DH gave me £50 in cash as he sold some bits, so have paid £50 off mortgage. Will use the cash for bits and pieces.
Dogs have been walked and chickens sorted, need to fill log baskets and then light woodburner and put a load of washing on the airer.
Plans for today are to do a food shop, fill car with fuel whilst out, going out for lunch with DH as we have a voucher that we got for christmas.
Have a great day xx0
