Woo hoo happy dance as half term has begun which means 10days off. Enjoying a glass of vino to celebrate.
Small top up shop on the way home tonight spent £6, should be ok for the weekend now and will do a big shop on Monday, i want to go through the freezer this weekend and sort out what we have and what meals we can make for the week. Just me this evening so a frugal tea of scrambled eggs, i can tell the days are starting to get longer as chucks are laying more eggs.
Woke up in the night cold so got up and put a big faux fur throw on the bed we don't have the heating on during the night as i hate rooms feeling stuffy especially bedrooms, its been cold all day as well. and school has been freezing.
I'm going with DH on Sunday to help him cut up a fallen tree on the farm this will provide next years fire wood and costs us nothing. I'm really mindful at the moment of all the little things that cost money as i'm sure many are, everything seems to be going up on a daily basis.2 -
Enjoy your time off 🥳🥂 As much as I feel the cold I don’t have my heating on overnight, I’d be too hot. I usually have the dog sleeping at the side of me and she generates a lot of heat.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Well i thought i had been super organised getting a top up shop on the way home last night, when i went to start baking this morning i realised we had no baking fat, only half a block of butter and no baking parchment, so trundled off to Mr S once there i also realised i hadn't got DH a valentines card, ended up spending £12.70 used £2.50 in nectar points to bring it down to £10.20.
Since i saved £2.50 i rounded it up and sent £3 to CC1. Postie also brought me clubcard voucher this morning a whole £1.50 will use it to get some milk or bread next week.
Busy morning in the kitchen i brought home some bags of carrot batons and bananas from work, carrot have been made into carrot and coriander soup, also made banana and walnut cake, made a almond and cherry cake to use up some OOD ground almonds, found a tub of chocolate buttercream in the freezer so made chocolate cup cakes to use that up, made sausage rolls for tea, had some left over puff pastry and found some mash in the freezer so also made some cheese whirls. Freezer is still stuffed full, have done next weeks meal plan, just need to do a shopping list for Monday.

Have a lovely half term penny, mine don't break up until next Friday but then I have the week off with them.
Ooh thanks for reminding me I have a few pounds in T8sco vouchers, we get random bits that we can't get from L*dl every few weeks, so that will help.
Hope you're finding time to relax, H x1 -

Happy valentines day, Me and Dh have a lovely M&S meal deal for tea tonight.
Spendy morning, nipped into town and bought a few small bits or DD birthday, she wants money as she is off to the Traford centre but i still wanted her to have a couple of small items to open. Did a lidl shop and spent £60 and also spent £10 in B&M.
Dh has sent £20 to mortgage as he sold something online, I've sold an item on ebay and sent £9 to CC1.
