They were great bags TIE; I've never heard of tins or eggs in bags before!  I'm with @maman on the limes and would freeze slices to use in gin or even in diet lemonade if you don't drink gin.

I'm sure your family will enjoy the non SW friendly things!  Although avocados are syns they're not too bad, 2.5 syns per 25g - DH and I usually have one between us and once the stone is removed and the skin there is usually only about 50g of actual edible fruit left.  They are nice to eat with prawns as a starter, with or without a bit of seafood sauce or mayo.  The other thing to do with them is to mash them with a bit of lemon juice and some chilli flakes and spread of toast.

That recipe sounds nice @annabanana82; is it on the PON website or in one of their books?  I only have the first one and don't remember seeing it in there.

It's in the orange book, not sure if that was first or not but I found the recipe online here

Hello.  It's a bit rubbish really, just can't seem to get a grip and stick with it, any of it.
I have some time today to sit down and all I can think about is my weight, DH has been watching Greece island videos on youtube and I suppose I am in panic mode.
I am hungry, very hungry and I crave food.  I can't seem to find anything that works for me long term.  Don't get me wrong they all help me lose weight I just can't seem to stick with it.  I wonder if it is my age, my head is everywhere.
Anyway, I've actually had a very brief read through some of the posts here and I just love the photos of the meals, so I have a question for @bubbs....what are the yorkshire puddings that are 2 syns?  They look gorgeous.  Also @joedenise you mention a sausage patty...what is that?  Also I have found hovis nimble wholemeal which although are tiny pieces of bread, 2 are a HEB.
I think if I can find a good sausage that is free or nigh on free it might be life changer, we often have sausages as they are quick and easy.
I've been trying out some meals as well one was one pot chicken and rice, as I was cooking it I realised that it would be free on slimming world other than the tin of chicken soup which was shared 3 ways so I think that worked out at about 4 syns for the whole meal but it was huge, maybe there is a lower syn chicken soup?
Very often I say to DH 'see this would be free on slimming world, we should do it!'.  But never do.
I need a lot of food, it's simple and I like carbs.
I weighed today and I am 11 stone 10, so now about 2 stone over my lightest.  I have a major function to attend in July so it has to go, it just has to.  I have no motivation and I am tired a lot of the time so I need a miracle, a miracle that allows me to eat...maybe this is it and maybe I just need to eat more of the free foods when I am peckish.
    Today meals
Breakfast (I hadn't started this morning so had a piece of homemade bread toasted with butter)
Lunch: Bake pot, with tuna and salad and about a teaspoon of salad cream, I couldn't even taste it so I could have gone without it.
Tea tonight:  I am not sure yet, but maybe roasts (in freezer slimming world style), chicken and veg with gravy and if I can work out the 2 syn yorkshire puds maybe one of them.
From now on I plan to do lots of bacon, eggs, mushrooms with potatoes fry ups, poached egg, beans, cheese etc. on toast and proper meals in the evening.
    I can't remember how many HEA's and HEB's am I allowed, I think it is 15 syns?
Thank you and well done to all of you

Yes, I'm going to reheat later @bubbs. I did them while I had the oven on hot to start the beef off. 😊 Well done you for having a treat on your holiday.

Good to see you posting again @Its_time . First I'd say that you really don't need to be hungry with SW. You can eat loads, including carbs, provided you eat plenty of Speed vegetables and/or fruit as well. A plate should be a third each of lean protein, carbs and Speed but I try to have more Speed whenever I can. You have 1 HEB (bread or cereal) and 2 HEAs (milk or cheese) and 15 syns a day.

Tesco Neville and Aldi Essential wholemeal bread is 2 large slices for a HEB. I like Aldi skinny sausages for 0.5 syns each although the skins are a bit chewy. Or Sainsburys BGTY Cumberland are 1 syn each.

I'll let @bubbs give you her recipe for the Yorkshire puddings.

You can do this. I find planning helps massively then you don't have to rethink it every day. 😊

Its_me Yorkshire are 1 syn each

    25g plain flour
    Pinch salt
    2 eggs
    Drop of water

Makes 4, use frylight in your tin, get it hot, i have oven on 9 to cook Yorkshire.

Also look at the pictures of my plates, i eat LOADS but mainly speed and protein, yes last couple of weeks i had chips alot but that is not normal for me i was cooking in a hotel room 😂

I have just made syn free scotch eggs 😋 yes i am still away but need to eat and don't want to ruin it completely!

Make sure you drink enough fluids too, does not have to be water, all fluids count.......well apart from booze 🤣🤣

Welcome back to the thread @Its_time.  You definitely shouldn't feel hungry with SW.  I think most of us are probably big eaters on here but as @maman says make sure you eat at least one third Speed foods - most fruit and veg apart from starchy ones like parsnips, bananas, pineapple, mango.

If you need any syn values feel free to ask.

The sausage patties I mentioned a while back were from the SlimmingEats website:  https://www.slimmingeats.com/blog/paleo-pork-sausage-breakfast-patties.  Have to say they were OK but certainly not sausages!  But there are a few sausages on the market that are OK synwise.  I'm quite lucky that my butcher actually does low fat sausages for 1 syn and low fat burgers for 0.5 syns.

If you have a Morrisons near you then you can use 2 slices of their 800g medium wholemeal bread as HEB.  That's the one I use as I prefer it to the Nevilles one from Tesco.  I don't use our Aldi as really don't like the shop!  It always seems dirty and dingy on the odd occasion I've popped in there so I just don't bother any more.

@annabanana82 - thanks for the link to the recipe (which I've bookmarked) as it isn't on the PON website, just tells you it's in the Everyday Light book!

@bubbs - those scotch eggs look even bigger and better than usual!  I really must make some again.  Not had them for ages.  I haven't got any 5% pork mince at the moment so will have a look when I go shopping next week.

Right, time to think about getting the veg on for dinner; have prepped most of it, just need to get the green beans and peas out from the freezer.  There should be plenty of leftovers for tomorrow night!
