Morning all, hope the storms didn't affect you too much yesterday. ย Apparently the next one due tomorrow is going to be even worse - we're on an Amber Alert at the moment and the forecasters are saying it may be upgraded to Red later! ย Doesn't sound good that's for certain.

Need to pop to the butchers today as have run out of low fat sausages and burgers and DH does love his sausages at the weekend with his fry up! ย Don't fancy going out tomorrow! ย We were supposed to be going away in the motorhome this weekend but of course we've put that off for another weekend! ย Not worth the risk with the weather forecast!

    Today's plan:

    B - Welsh rarebit - HEB; HEA2; P; F
    L - Brunch hash - P; S; F
    D - butternut squash & chickpea curry, rice - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - probably have a couple of rum & ginger beer this evening 5

    Have a good day everyone.

    Good morning,

Very windy here in SE London. Neighbours tarp covering their loft extension is looking ragged! Hope those further North are doing okay and stay safe.

I texted the new consultant yesterday and got a nice welcoming text back. No cap on members, masks optional, chairs spaced out, so will go along on Saturday at 8.30am. Unfortunately we are out on Saturday night for a curry for a friends' 60th, but will be driving and will choose shashlik or similar non-saucy dish....and have all week to be on plan!

    Food today:
B - pineapple, dark rye wholemeal toast, 2 poached eggs, grilled bacon, baked beans - B, P
    L - smoked peri peri mackerel, lettuce, peppers, pickles - 2.5, S
    D - pasta bolognaise - will have a very small portion, parmesan - A
    Snacks - grapes, satsuma
    A - milk

Have a glut of celery to use up (was gifted it) - any ideas - was thinking soup as not keen on it raw unless dipped in houmous!

    Have a good day,
    Coxy

If you like celery raw with hummus could you make some SW hummus? ย There's lots of SW friendly recipes online.

Otherwise I'd just go with soup; or if you're planning on doing some savoury mince then you could add some to that.

Hi all, storm not as bad as expected last night but think we're definitely in for the snow!ย  Doing the food shop tonight just in case but do hope roads are clear enough to get to hair appointment on Saturday afternoon!ย ย

Bran flakes and yoghurt for breakfast, lentil soup for lunch but still a bit peckish so will probably go eat the last banana and apple after I send this and dinner is chilli with rice and side salad.

    Stay safe and cosy everyone!

    Afternoon all
    Boiler sorted ๐Ÿค—
Hubby finally got his script for numbing cream, a tiny tube that will do 1 session!! Canโ€™t order more until March! Now, he goes 3 times a week, every week and they think that tiny tube is going to do ๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿ˜ค.
Anyway, I have come to the conclusion I eat to many carbs. So I will be trying to reduce. Any ideas for low carb breakfasts? I think Iโ€™m ok for lunches as donโ€™t eat much at school. Tea I think I have good choices for, omelettes, chicken, fish etc with veg.
Just want to lose more than that ruddy 1lb.
I have the TGTG app but havenโ€™t used it. Looked today but Morries was sold out, will try again this evening.
Hope those in the windy areas stay safe ๐Ÿ’ž
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

    Hi everyone,

Windy and rainy here in SE London but worst winds to come later I believe.

I got a TGTG bag from Morries yesterday - not our local High Street store, but one in a filling station, so it was ยฃ3.29. I got a H0vis wholemeal loaf, small white toastie loaf, pack of Scotch pancakes, 2 packs of 6 cheese and onion pastry rolls, 2 Buttons dessert pots, 2 pots RTS custard, 3 pots egg mayo sandwich filler, 6 golden delicious apples, and a pack of cherry toms on the vine. Most of this has gone in the freezer, but DD and DS2 will snaffle the goodies and I will have the fruit/veg. Still a great haul for the money but will try the main store next time as more likely to get SW useable goods.

I made pasta bolognaise last night and used up 2 sticks of celery, 3 small peppers, a carrot and an onion as well as the passata. Very speedy! Lots left, but DH and DD will have this for lunch, or I'll freeze it.

    Food today:
B - pineapple pot, LM sausages, poached egg, dark rye wholemeal toast - P, B
    L - Cheese and cherry tomato omelette - A, S, P
D - salmon, tenderstem broccoli, mini corn, runner beans, mange tout, carrots - P, S
Snacks - mango, apple, flat peach - some S
    HEA - milk
Syns - rum and pepsi max - 2.5

Thanks for the reminder about SW hummus Denise - doh! I just need a lemon so will get one when I go to class tomorrow morningย  ;)

TIE - ridiculous about the cream. I too eat too many carbs so I'm trying to reduce my portion size instead of cutting out altogether. Bubbs is right - go for eggs for breakfast!

    Hope everyone stays safe today.
