Still to catch up on all the posts.  We've just had an amber warning in for the winds from Wednesday night and blooming heavy snow forecast for Friday!   I really don't like winter.

Tried a new recipe, well DS did , from PON - Cuban beef with rice.  Was very nice but think made nicer by the fact I didn't have to cook!

Today I've had yoghurt and fruit for breakfast, pea and ham soup for lunch and dinner will be baked potatoes, cheese and salad just cos I fancy it.

Denise, look on normal shelves on Weds, as this is reduction day in Sainsbury's lots of 20p items some weeks

Glad you liked your new recipe Jelly

Think the wind is all over UK, you can keep the snow that would top it off 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks @bubbs.  Even at 8.30 in the morning?

I've checked online for our forecast on Wednesday and it's saying winds between 20 and 40mph, with gusts of 50mph!  Doesn't sound as bad as for you.

Hope it dies down by the Weekend as we're hoping to go away in the motorhome.  We've just made the bed in there so that's one thing sorted.  Still need to sort out clothes, food, towels & tea towels but that shouldn't take too long.  Won't put the food in until Friday morning while DH is at golf.  We'll leave after lunch and come home on Sunday.  Really looking forward to it - seems ages since we went away in it.

Yes they usually do the shelf edge labels, i go in at 7 when they open, i also use the scanner app on my phone and scan things which say clearance £1 or what ever it says as these are the ones on the way down, some weeks are better than others

Hope you have good weather

Morning all, it's really windy this morning!  I watched the weather forecast last night and although it's going to be windy here Wednesday night and Thursday it's not going to be as bad as it will in the North.  Our winds will be 20-30mph with gusts of 40mph.

Have you taken your air fryer with you @bubbs?  Looking at your picture it certainly looks as though you have!

Ordered another couple of Magic Bags last night to pick up this evening.  We won't be picking them up until quite late - 8pm ish as DH also ordered a Costa one and that's the earliest you can pick those up.  Hope the one from the local Morries is better than last time!  Can't remember if I told you but TGTG are refunding the cost of that bag - I'm still waiting for it though, hopefully it'll be back in my account in the next few days.  It really helps with keeping costs down but of course means the menu plan needs to be changed to accommodate whatever you get!  Some, of course, can be prepped and frozen but not everything can be.

    Anyway today's plan:

B - kedgeree - P; F (no speed as run out of onions so had to use onion powder - definitely not the same!)
    L - stuffed mushrooms topped with cheese, salad - HEA2; S; F
    D - pork steaks, mash, green veg - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - none planned
    Syns - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.
