    Hi all,

I'm back to try again if you'll have me? Have been reading along and taking tips but have now topped the scales at my most heaviest ever, so something has to give :(

You may remember that my sister and I had a failed attempt at walking JoGLE last year due to my DDad's ill health. Well I'm delighted to say DDad is doing well after lung cancer, pacemaker and bypass ops. My sister and I are planning to go back to Scotland at Easter to walk the Great Glen Way and West Highland Way, so I need to loose some pounds before then.

Only group I could feasibly get to would be Saturday mornings at 8.30am - still wondering if I can face group again or whether to go it alone....

Started logging food in my diary yesterday. Could someone please provide syn values for Nutella B-ready bar and Aldi's Beef Rib (frozen) and Aldi's cottage cheese with pineapple. Also Aldi yoghurt coated rice cakes - didn't buy them but would like to if not too syntastic! TIA xx

    Food today is:
B: grilled lean bacon, 2 poached eggs, mushrooms, tbsp ketchup - 1 syn
L: cottage cheese w/pineapple, lettuce, tomato, pickles - syns for cottage cheese??
    D: prawn and chilli linguine
    Snacks: grapes, cherries, 2 satsumas

    A - milk
    B - ??

I am a chocoholic and find this time of year really hard due to all the Easter chocolate. Cadbury have bought out a Mini Egg bar and I could eat that all in one go - really need to have a word with myself :(

Running has been somewhat intermittent. I need to get back to this, at least twice a week if possible. I do try to get out for a walk every day though.

Enough from me. Have a good day everybody,
    Coxy x

Welcome back @Coxy11; of course you can rejoin us.  Good to have you back.  I would suggest you go to group at least to get the new books as there have been quite a few syn changes.

As for the Aldi ones you've asked for:

The Nutella B-ready bar is 5.5 syns
The cottage cheese with pineapple (if the fat free one) is 0.5 per 100g; if it's the full fat one it's 1.5 syns per 100g
The beef short ribs are 8.5 syns for half a pack
Aldi chocolate coated rice cakes are 4 syns each (milk or dark chocolate); the 18g bars are 4.5 syns

Good luck with losing what you need to so that you can do that long distance walk in Scotland at Easter.  Glad to hear your Dad is doing well now.

@maman - it's certainly worth downloading the app and having a look.  It depends which shops you have near you.  As you know we have to drive quite a way to any of the supermarkets but Morrisons on the Island are the closest at about 5-6 miles but the bags are usually quite good.  My DD1 seems to get much better bags at the same shop off the Island which we got a bag from last week!  They definitely vary a lot.

We've had lovely weather this morning, brilliant sunshine and blue skies.  It's beginning to cloud over so think I'm going to see if my washing has dried!  It was almost dry when I checked a couple of hours ago.

    Sorry 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hope you're OK in those winds.  That's pretty strong!  It's blowy here but nowhere near that bad.

    KFC on a Monday!

Thank you for syn values Denise and Bubbs xx It's the FF cottage cheese. That beef is a lot more than I thought eeek! Maybe I dreamt it but was sure the B-ready was once a B choice? Oh well! Think I'll skip the rice cakes too!

I would like to go back to group but can imagine DH's eyeroll (what AGAIN?!) - he's lucky as eats/drinks whatever he likes and doesn't put on weight at all. Just not fair. Maybe I will sneak out whilst he has a lie in  ;) I seem to get so far in group and then play hokey cokey with the same 1lb - on off on off. Just so demoralising. Need a kick up the preverbial, I really do.

Enjoy your valentines treat Ruby :)

It's just started raining here @bubbs.  Only light stuff but it's what my dad used to call lazy rain - goes through you and not round you!

Will have to make sure I check the forecast later.  Going shopping in the morning and then up to DD1s for the peppers and a couple of avocados.  Hopefully they'll last an extra day or two so can have one as a started with prawns after WI on Wednesday.  I'm going to the earlier group this week as need to drop DH off at 8am at the golf club so better to just drive down to group.  Will park up in Sainsbury's car park and get 30 minute (free) parking and then have a wander around and see if there is anything YS that I want!  The early group starts at 9am but I'll get to Sainsbury's about 8.30ish so plenty of time a scoot round before driving to group which is only a few minutes away.
