Happy anniversary Mrs R   I have images in my head of you climbing in and out of windows @bubbs with an airfryer under your arm!

That was a good haul from Morries Denise, I might try and snag one for tomorrow night when I'll be in there shopping for my parents.

Was out at 2am this morning chasing the two bay trees that normally sit at the front door around the driveway!  They sit in huge, heavy ceramic pots and I can hardly lift them at the best of times but the wind had no problem blowing them about.  Now sitting in the hallwayl on a beach towel

Feel decidedly fat and bloated today so yoghurt and fruit for breakfast, ham salad sandwich for lunch and salmon with roasted veg for dinner.

    Have a good day everyone!

    Morning everyone,

That's so funny Bubbs although OMG imagine if you couldn't get out in an emergency  :open_mouth:

That's bad about the jelly babies advice Mrs Ryan - yes definitely say something to your consultant.

Great value on the Morries TGTG boxes Denise. I've had them from M&S and Co$ta before - never anything SW friendly but the teens enjoyed the spoils.

Really enjoyed my steak and chips dinner last night. We went to the cinema to see Death on the Nile - a bit hammy but enjoyed it. Watched folk walking in with trays (yes trays) of snacks. Must've cost an arm and a leg!

    Food today:
B - overnight oats - used A!di Greek 0% yoghurt - was like eating grout! I only enjoyed it for the frozen whole pitted cherries - B
L - JP with hm veg chilli, lettuce - 1
D - SW sweet chilli chicken thighs, a little rice, green beans and broccoli - P, S, 1
Snacks - blueberries, satsumas, crab sticks - S

    A - milk
    A - ??

Will be popping to H&B at lunchtime for some magnesium supplements I use as they're on BOGOHP. I take it these are syn-free? OMG!
Will pick up more fruit when I'm out.
    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy

  • Morning all.  Happy anniversary @Mrs_Ryan and good to hear that common sense has prevailed somewhere in SW.  I remember a friend being told to syn a lemsip when she was ill a few years ago 🙄

That was a good haul @joedenise I never seem to be able to nab one quick enough round here so have to just rely on the YS bargains when I'm out shopping.

Feeling very tired this morning so lots of coffee is called for.  FF yogurt and blueberries for breakfast, lunch is the last of the lentil soup from the freezer and dinner is spaghetti bolognese with some salad.  Simple and straightforward today.

Hope you all have a good day!

Can always rely on Bubbs for the entertainment here!

I can never get bargains like some here :(

Feel like a beached whale at the moment, no idea why as I have had SP days for the last 3 days. Brother coming tonight to give me a key to mums car, we have discovered we can buy a season ticket for the airport so it makes life much easier, just need to let each other know where the car is parked, so cooking potato wedges, chicken, mushrooms & grilled tomatoes, really looking forward to the carbs :)
A smile costs little but creates much :)

    Morning all

Well done Denise that was good!

Beanie , glad i made you laugh, was so funny 🤣🤣

Jelly it is really , really windy here, but the sun was out, notice i say was, looks like it's going to tip it now! @ air fryer, yes wouldn't want to leave that as newish and an aci fry! 😂

Coxy, believe me i would get out through the window even if it meant a broken leg, wouldn't be the 1st time, we was in a hotel fire in Austria 😱, i never had a broken leg though i might add!

I wouldn't have thought you would have to syn magnesium supplements, it's like people that take cod liver oil, would you syn them?

GTQ, glad to oblige 🤣🤣 and that is so much better with the airport

Morning all (just!), bit later this morning as had to get up early to take DH to the golf course so I could have the car and go to group.  As I was early I drove to Sainsbury's and had a wander around but nothing in there that caught my eye YS - was hoping for some meat or fish but the reductions weren't worth bothering about!  Things like 40p of 2 salmon fillets (not that I need salmon anyway!) certainly nothing at 20p like @bubbs seems to get.

For those of you who want to trying getting a TGTG bag the best tip I can give is once the app is downloaded to your phone, set an alarm for a couple of minutes before the bags are due to be added to the app - this will be approx 15 minutes later than the bags are available for.  So, for example, Morrisons bags need to be collected between 5pm and 9pm so their bags go on about 9.15pm - they were a bit later the other night nearer 9.18pm!  You need to reserve the bag the day before you want to collect so if you want to collect Thursday night you'll need to go on the app to nab a bag tonight.  You just need to watch the times.  They seem to go very quickly and there's usually only a few available so it's definitely a case on going on at the right time and if they haven't been added at the time you'd expect just keep refreshing the app.  Good luck everyone who wants to give it a try!  There are good and bad bags.  With Morrisons it seems the ones which we've picked up nearer to 5pm have been better than those we've picked up later in the evening.

    Right back to SW matters!

I weighed this morning and was pleased with a loss of 0.5lb after my alcohol fuelled Saturday night!  I'd hoped for at least STS so that was a bit better!

You will probably see a lot of avocados and peppers on the menus this week!

    Today's plan:

    B - fresh fruit, natural yoghurt - S; F
    L - avocado & prawns followed by ham and pickled beetroot sandwich - HEB; P; S; 5.5
    D - cross between moussaka and hotpot! - P; S; F; 7

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - avocado 5; LTL mayo instead of spread 0.5; lamb mince 6.5; cornflour 0.5

Have a good day everyone and stay safe in the strong winds this week - can't believe we've got 2 storms straight after each other.

Didn't get around to posting yesterday but have read through and kept myself entertained with the Houdini escapades of Mr Bubbs! 🤣 And a belated Happy Anniversary to @MrsRyan (and Mr of course).💖

Well done on your loss @joedenise. I sometimes think we can get hung up on trying to find logic in how our bodies work but I find it hard to believe in magic!  There has to be a reason why we can be ever so good and STS and then go over syns and lose. 🤔

I did manage to stay on plan yesterday. After the funeral, there was a typical pub buffet with sandwiches, crisps, pork pies, Scotch eggs and cakes. I decided to stick with coffee, easier as I was going out in the evening and driving so no wine syns either.  I had a very late lunch when I got home Tomorrow will be different as we're out again but have been pretty good all week otherwise.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, banana (F), berries (S)
    L- veggie omelette (P,S), ham (P), pickles (S)
    D- chicken casserole (P,F,S) with greens (S)
    Syns- cornflour 1

    Hi again,
Went to H&B to collect my supplements. Also popped into Sainsbobs for some fruit. Got 2 pots of prepared pineapple and a couple of greenish bananas, some ready to eat chicken satay sticks and then some yellow-stickered hot and spicy chicken wings for DS2 plus some 5% fat pork mince. I also picked up a birthday card, hoodie and some Lego for my DNephew who will be 6 next week.
I had £7.50 of Nectar points - no idea how as barely shop in there, but took that off the food element of the bill (as have separate pot for gifts). Total of £1.51 spent!
Have put the chicken thighs in to marinade for tonight. Also had 25g of cheese on my jacket with veg chilli at lunchtime. There was some red leicester to use up, so more texture/colour than flavour, but heyho!
Just about to text consultant for Saturday morning's group - my old consultant left and this is a new group/venue entirely. I just want to know if there's any restrictions before going along.

Well done on resisting the beige buffet maman!
