Morning all, think it's the last of the dry weather here today.  It's forecast to be raining a bit every day, although it looks like a couple of them are only going to be light showers so may be OK.

We've got the Golf Club Dinner tonight which won't be very SW friendly although the main course is OK as I've chosen baked salmon, roast potatoes and loads of veg (think there's 6 veg!) - I'll only eat a very small amount of the cauliflower cheese and probably only 1 potato (I suspect they'll be much bigger than the ones I make at home!).  Can't remember what I've ordered for starter or dessert; the final course is the cheeseboard!  Of course there will be syns for alcohol but I'm planning on sticking to G&T and not wine.  The only reason I'm not having my usual spiced rum is because they don't do the Light Ginger Beer but know I can get Slimline Tonic!

    Today's plan:

B - fry up - LO potatoes, bacon, egg, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, baked beans - P; S; F
    L - smashed avocado on toast - HEB; F; 5
D - as above plus whatever I've ordered for started and dessert - syns galore!

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB:  bread
    Syns - 50g avocado 5; ?

    Have a good day everyone

Well done @Suffolksue👏👏👏👏.  Would be great if we could always do that but unfortunately our bodies don't seem to agree!

Have  booked a belated holiday to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary which we had to cancel last year.  We've booked to go to The Gambia next April.  Now to save some money to pay for it!

well done @Suffolksue , it was a STS for me this morning. Jeans definitely felt looser this morning so hope it will show on the scales soon!

It’s wet and windy here but I’m toasty in the kitchen batch cooking. Have a lovely time tonight @joedenise and wow to next year’s holiday,

Afternoon all, sat here wrapped in blanket as the brand new (3 month old) boiler has packed up. No heating or hot water 😤 waiting on engineer! Happens to be flipping cold & windy today! The only one comfortable is the husky 🥴.
Well I’ve been covid negative for a few days but didn’t go back to work as still coughing & 🤧. Also finding I get out of breath easily too!

Poor hubby has to fight for every new meds the kidney centre put him on! Wasn’t on his notes at dispensary that he’s stage 5 renal failure 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️. Then when they agree and it’s on the nhs app, the chemist hasn’t received the request 🤬. Bloody nightmare 😤

STS at weigh in, seem to be gaining & losing the same lb the last few weeks. Been mainly eating porridge while poorly 🥴.
Have a good weekend all 🤗
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Excellent loss @Suffolksue! Great news! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I'm pleased you didn't get back to work @TakeItEazy. You need a rest and to get rid of those symptoms. I'd take STS happily under the circumstances.

Although nothing like as important, DH has been having problems with prescriptions and pharmacies too. It seems so convenient to have prescriptions sent locally (our pharmacy is in the same building as GP) but it's a nightmare when things go wrong. DH had to get a paper copy so he could traipse around to  get what he needed. Hope it gets smoother for your DH.🤗

Some people take measurements because you don't always see progress on the scales @Jellybaby. STS is OK, keep plodding on😊. I like batch cooking on a Saturday afternoon too. Our match was a lunchtime kick off today though so had to work around it. DH suggested going to the pub but I wasn't keen to start my wine syns so early.🤣

Have a lovely evening @joedenise and great news about your planned celebrations. We missed out on anything major our Ruby anniversary (2020) but at least restaurants were open in August so we had a nice meal together. It was on a Thursday and DH was joking that if we'd married a day earlier we could have taken advantage of Rishi Sunak's eat out offer! 🤣

This was the recipe I used for the chicken jalfrezi.
Easy chicken jalfrezi - The Slimming Foodie - Easy healthy recipes
I chose it because I happened to have all the ingredients. It made enough sauce for 4 portions. It was quite nice but there are lots of light/healthy jalfrezi recipes online so I might try tweaking it next time. I enjoyed the LOs on a jacket so I'll definitely keep some out for lunch next time.

    Today's EE plan-
B- scrambled eggs (P), HEB toasted muffin, (part) HEA for milk in drinks
L- JP (F), chicken jalfrezi (P,S), leaves, tomato, peppers, spring onion (S)
    D- lasagne (P,S,F, 1.5 HEAs), side salad (S)
    Syns- cornflour 1, weekend wine😁

Sorry to hear you've still got the cough TIE and awful that your boiler has packed up so soon after being fitted.  You certainly don't need that when you and DH are not well anyway.  Sorry to hear about the problems with prescriptions too.  I trust our surgery to send scripts to the chemist although do order them on line.  The surgery actually dispense most of the meds but occasionally we have to take a paper one to the chemist but it's only over the road so not too onerous!

Thanks for the recipe link @maman; I've bookmarked it so I can easily find it when I'm looking for it.  Good that it makes a lot of sauce as we really don't like dry curries.  I don't think I ever following a recipe properly - I'm always tweaking them in some way, usually to try and get some extra Speed into them!

Looking forward to our meal this evening, even though it means it'll probably end up being nearly a week's syns and I haven't been particularly Low Syn so far.  Will definitely keep Low Syn from tomorrow until WI on Wednesday!

Decide on the trousers in the end with ankle boots with a small heel!

Better go and get ready soon!

Have a lovely time @joedenise. I don't know about you but I still get a kick from being able to wear what I want when I'm choosing something to go out. It's not gone away even after 10+ years. It was so worth it losing the weight. 😁

Good to know you're safely arrived in Yorkshire @bubbs. I'm sure you feel better now you don't have to worry about hiding your various cooking gadgets. 😁

I hate missing just one meal, never mind 3 months! 🤣

Forgot about mayo with my salad tonight but 1 isn't going to break the (syn) bank. 😊 Lasagne was lush. 😋
