It's likely that the telephone appointment will be to talk about a plan for his treatment going forward and he's unlikely to get an appointment very soon @bubbs. I'm sure you'll keep in touch and you're not going to far away. Is it Monday that you go? 🤔

I rarely buy yogurt but when I do I have the Aldi one that's a take off for Total 0%.

You're right @joedenise that the frozen lamb shanks are better value than the butcher. I must try some as we like lamb and shanks are less fatty (and so fewer syns) than other cuts.

The consultant they saw yesterday said this NEEDS TO BE DONE URGENTLY that's why he gave Mum his personal number to contact him if not, he said he would get it sorted out if they don't on Tuesday.

He couldn't even sit down yesterday, sleep or eat.

    No we go Saturday

Sorry to hear about your dad @bubbs.  Do hope he gets the tests he needs urgently; well done to the consultant giving out his personal number.  I've known private consultants do that (my orthopaedic one gave me his personal email to contact him if I had problems getting an appointment when I needed it) but not NHS ones.

I've not had the Lidl shanks @bubbs but they're a little bit dearer than the Iceland ones which are £6 for 2 (frozen) or larger ones (chilled) for £8.  We've tried both but prefer the frozen ones, although DH likes the rosemary and mint gravy with the chilled ones!  Syns are good too:  2 for the frozen and 3 for the chilled.

Are you going to the self catering place straight from the hotel or going back home first to do some washing again?

I've just paid the balance on our holiday to Devon at the end of next month so at least that's out of the way.

    Thanks so do i.

The shank was nice, but sweeter than i thought, i couldn't buy frozen as they are all in 2's

We are going home first to take stuff back and pick the other suitcase up. I am going  launderette tomorrow 😂 as won't have time to wash and dry everything and don't want piles of washing when i come back!

Oh how long you going Devon for?

Yeah I suppose it's a bit awkward for you with your DH don't eating lamb!

Only another couple of days in the hotel now then.  Don't blame you going to the launderette tomorrow to do the washing.  We always do that during the last week of our month long holidays - I certainly don't want to do 2 weeks washing when I get back.

We're only going for a week to cover my birthday (it'll be my 70th!).  We weren't able to do anything for our 50th anniversary or DH's 70th last year because of lockdown so decided we'd do something for mine!

    Hi all,

We have a free food taster session at group next week and I need some inspiration on what to take with me please!

It has to be free food.

I don't know if all groups are doing this at the same time.  Apologies if this has already been mentioned further up, but I haven't looked at this thread for few days and not caught up.

    Have a good evening everyone.
