Just thought I'd check back in with review of the mushroom kebab recipe. We both enjoyed it apart from the chilli sauce which was much too sharp - not sure if that's because I used sweetener instead of sugar or whether it was too much lemon juice. I actually made the full batch of that as was going to freeze half but obviously not worth doing as neither of us liked it!
The lightly pickled onions were a bit of a waste of time - might as well have just had thinly sliced onions! It definitely needed the yoghurt sauce otherwise the salad would have been very dry.
The mushrooms themselves were really nice if a bit spicy! Will certainly make again but not bother with the chilli tomato sauce next time.

Glad to hear you got some eggs yesterday @bubbs.
Hope you’re feeling a bit more cheerful today @beanielou .
That was an excellent menu yesterday and very low syn @MrsRyan . You really give 100% when you’re on plan. I think that’s probably one of the most important SW things to remember is whenever we stray (and we all will from time to time) we need to get back ASAP.
I’m glad you’re feeling philosophical about that 1lb @Jellybaby . Provided you know you’ve followed the plan then the losses will come.
That was an awful lot of time wasted yesterday @Gettingtherequickly . I think there are still companies out there using Covid as an excuse to reduce customer service although omicron cases are still high so causing staffing issues.
Thanks for the review of the recipe @joedenise . When I read it I thought there was an awful lot of sauce. You’d be better off synning some sweet chilli sauce instead. It reminds me that I’ve not made patatas bravas for a while. My recipe for the hot chilli sauce in that is great for pasta as well and I always have enough to freeze a portion.
Changed my menu yesterday but the syns stayed the same. Our match went to extra time and the traffic was awful so we didn’t get home until 7 p.m. I really didn’t feel like making cauliflower cheese so we had sausage, chips and beans instead with some onions and mushrooms thrown in for Speed. I did it all in the oven so didn’t have to watch it.
Today’s EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, banana (F), berries (S)
L- JP (F), spring onion and pickles (S), ham and cottage cheese (P)
D- Beef in ‘red wine’ (P,S), SW roast potatoes (F), many vegetables (S)
Syns- cornflour 1, weekend wine

You're right @maman there was far too much sauce but as I said I had been planning on freezing some but definitely not worth it. It was also quite time consuming. I think next time I'll do as you say and just syn some sweet chilli sauce, or even just have the minty yoghurt!
Looking forward to my roast pork this evening. In fact I think I need to get that out of the fridge to come up to room temperature before it goes in the oven.

Evening all
Been home again today, all washing done and dried, even washed my coast it was bloody filthy and only washed it the weekend before we came here! Trouble is it's dirty weather , the car gets so dirty and coat brushes on it. I only had the car washed not even a fortnight ago and was going to go yesterday but the queue was massive, glad it was as absolutely torrential rain this morning so would have been a waste of time and money!
When we was home we also emptied the glass display cabinets as they desperately needed a clean and washed all the crystal inside , so all spick and span now
I had bacon and mushroom egg wraps again and we had a "roast" here just now . I cooked the potatoes and mashed them at home , used tinned veg and bought some chicken, but they only had thighs so beggars can't be choosers!

Glad to hear you got your egg fix again @bubbs. 😁
I quite like tinned carrots. They have a sweeter taste than fresh so nice for a change. I do understand you missing fresh veg though. ☹️
Out of curiosity, do you have to pay for your lodge when you're not there? Seems madness that they insist on you moving out. 🤔1 -

It's because they are classed as "holiday" homes. We have to pay a ground rent, the bill is for the season, but those that have stayed have had to pay £250 for the month, which is still a scandal as i think it's a back pocket job 🤬 but that is still so much cheaper than what we have paid out!Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -

Morning all. Just popping in quickly before I start a training call this morning. Had a relatively quiet weekend which was nice considering we're busy the next few coming up.
Did a kettlebell workout this morning so I'm sure I'll be feeling a bit sore and achey tomorrow. Had ff yogurt and a mix of mango, pineapple and papaya on the side. Lunch is going to be a tuna rice bowl with some cucumber kimchi and lettuce chucked in, and dinner is spicy sweet potato soup with a sourdough roll that needs using up. Picked up some light babybel at the weekend so will probably snack on a couple of them before lunch as it's already been a couple of hours since I had breakfast and I won't be able to stop for "lunch" till about 1pm.

Morning all, at least you got some veg @bubbs even if it was tinned. Like @maman I quite like tinned carrots but I prefer the whole baby ones rather than sliced. I'm not keen on boiled fresh ones but love them roasted.
@Gettingtherequickly - I know what you mean about should you have syns for the sake of it as I've been a bit like that this week but as I am trying to stick to 10 syns a day I've had a couple of rum & ginger beers which weren't really needed to make the number a bit nearer 10! A couple of days I've still only managed 8.5. With today's plan there are absolutely no syns at all so may end up having a couple of G&Ts instead (6 syns rather than 5 for the rum!) and maybe a few squares of dark chocolate to make it up to 10!
Today's plan:
B - baked oats; mixed frozen fruit, melon, yoghurt - HEB; S; F
L - jacket potato, LO beef stew - P; S; F
D - LO roast pork, LO roast potatoes, roasted veg and green veg all fried up - P; S; F (maybe I'll syn a bit of piccalilli!)
HEA - milk
HEB - oats
Syns - gin? chocolate? piccalilli?
Have a good day everyone.
