You're right @maman, it's difficult sticking to 10 a day.  Because I'd mucked up my menu plan and had to syn my roll at lunchtime also means I can't have a drink tonight!  But doesn't matter as had a couple the last couple of night!  Tomorrow is better planned and will definitely be having a couple in the evening!

That's good @bubbs that you can go home for a few hours.  At least you can get a bit more cooking done, including those all important boiled eggs!  Enjoy your Chinese tomorrow and whatever you have on Sunday.

Seems odd sitting down after dinner to a cup of tea rather than a G&T or a rum and ginger beer on a Friday night.

I'm 'down south' too @beanielou ( about as far south as you can get 😁) and I hadn't heard of that either. I just got the results and the graduation followed automatically. I'm sure @MrsRyan will explain. 🤔

Morning all, I just got a letter to tell me.  I didn't even make it to the graduation because when the letter arrived I was on holiday and my DD2 "put the letter away and forgot about it"!  (I was an older student!).  I came across the letter quite a while after the graduation ceremony took place!

We're off to see DD1 this afternoon as our DGD is home from uni and asked DH to bake her a sourdough loaf which he's done this morning!  Only problem is her partner (the chef!) is like to have made shortbread and profiteroles!  I know shortbread freezes as I've done that previously but what about profiteroles?  The ones he makes are at least double the size of what you'd get in a restaurant so no way will I be eating more than one and then only on a day when I'm not having a drink - and that isn't today!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - sausages, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans - P; S; F; 2
L - Welsh rarebit - mustard, onion and garlic powder, egg, Lea and Perrins - HEA2; HEB; P; F
    D - beef stew; mash; Brussels, green beans - P; S; F; 0.5

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - LF sausages 2; cornflour 0.5; G&T 6

    Have a good day everyone.

Thanks @bubbs.  Will try freezing them (assuming he's made them like he usually does when he knows we're going over!).

STS is better than a gain!  You've done well really with the cooking you've been able to do in the hotel room.  Most people would have eaten out and ended up putting on weight.  I'm sure once you move into the self catering place you'll be able to get back to your normal way of eating.  Will you be going back to the lodge next weekend and picking up your ice cream maker to take with you to the cottage (or wherever it is you're going for the self catering part of your break).

I've washed the bedding this morning so now need to remake the bed - not a job I like doing!

I agree, STS is excellent under the circumstances @bubbs. If you can maintain that until you move back home then it's a success.👍🏼

That was a shame about the letter going astray @joedenise.I think the OU has always followed a different timetable but graduations seem to occur at all sorts of different times. I noticed there were some going on in the city centre on Thursday this week. They always used to be in the summer. Possibly they're giving students who missed out because of Covid a chance.

It's difficult about the profiteroles. If you can bring them home instead of eating them there then I'd give it a miss for this week. You could try freezing one just to know if it works for future use but I'd get your DH to eat them instead. Maybe just have a taste so you can honestly say you ate some.

Football this afternoon so the usual bite of Crunchie. I must look at the size of the bar so that I can estimate the syns better. They've shrunk a huge amount over the years.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB muffin, (part) HEA1 milk, bacon eggs (P)
L- soup, sardine and salad bits (P,S)
D- baked haddock (P), cauli and broccoli cheese (S, HEA 1&2) SW chips (F)
    Syns- Crunchie 3, cornflour 1, weekend wine😁

Afternoon all, made it to the sofa 😷 today. Not coughed to much so hopefully on the mend. Although day 5 LF is still full on positive 🤧. Hope it’s negative soon for hubbys sake, he’s still sleeping in his recliner while I have the bed (secretly 🤗 can spread out). Really though I’m feeling guilty 🥺.
WI & lost 1lb. Not much of an appetite today!
