joedenise said:@beanielou - it's a big round pale yellow melon which is much sweeter than most melons but does tend to be quite expensive.
@bubbs - that's a shame about not being able to cancel. The chicken looks good for a ready cooked one!
No @maman today? Don't remember her saying she would be out and about today! Hope everything is OK.
I thought that about Maman and thought mabe i had missed she said she was going footie/dancing/general galivanting😂 but obviously not!

Not been doing anything exciting @joedenise but had a mixed up day. I had to go for tests this morning (ongoing saga of the bloating, delayed by Covid). Should have been home early but because of emergencies, it was lunch time before I got back. Then I had to go to city centre this afternoon. That was a nicer appointment (eyebrow wax and tint) but was sorely tempted to buy us something easy from M&S or have a takeaway but stayed strong, SW and mse. 😇
Another lovely hotel meal @bubbs. Nice idea of Mr Bubbs to eat out but I think you're right to wait until after WI. 😊
Sorry to hear that Covid has got to you @TakeItEazy. I hope you're being looked after, marooned in your bedroom. ☹️ Get well soon.
I like the sound of your book club @ruby_eskimo. Great that people feel able to bring their own food if they want.
I made more butter beans in the SC last night. Am I right that they and other pulses still count as protein @joedenise? I thought it was only baked beans that were free. 🤔
Today's EE plan -
B- NONE!!
L- JP (F), veggie chilli (P, S), cottage cheese (P), beetroot, cornichons (S)
D- sausages, mash, peas, LO gravy (F), carrots, cauli, broccoli, cabbages (S)
Syns - mustard 1, Aldi sausages 1

Probably Ice cream? or Fakeaway KFC? I suspect the first one though!
How about something like salmon or big prawns, perhaps with a citrus and chilli seasoning for dinner tomorrow?

@maman - glad everything is OK and it just that you were busy that you didn't post! Yes pulses are still Protein, just baked beans that are just Free! Stupid I think but I suspect it's because a lot of people were eating loads of them because they're quick and easy and can be used as a side dish rather than the main part of the meal based on them.
I've got some cooked chickpeas out of the freezer and going to make some falafels to snack on in the evening with some (probably mint) yoghurt.
