@maman - I hate wasting food but the duck was so dry it was horrible and completely inedible.  Thought about reheating it in gravy but both decided it just wouldn't be worth wasting gravy or electric!  Have made the bolognaise this morning and there should be enough to put at least enough for another meal in the freezer.

Good luck with sorting out your Plan B and fine tuning your Plan A @Jellybaby!

  • 1.5lb off this week, so 8lbs off in total in 3 weeks. I think it would have been a better had I have weighed before my dinner but the Paella left me feeling bloated.

    That's still a good loss @annabanana82; well done 👏👏👏.  8lb in 3 weeks is a great loss.

If you want to eat before your WI then try to make it a lighter meal rather than something like Paella.  Perhaps something like salmon with some veg or salad.

@maman - Lidl have got cooked beetroot in the Pick of the Week this coming week for 39p for 500g.  Don't know if you've got a Lidl though but I know how much you like your beetroot :)!

Well done @annabanana82! That's your first half stone milestone passed.🙌🙌🙌

Thanks for the heads up on the beetroot @joedenise. Yes, we have Lidl. I'm lucky to have every supermarket within 3 miles with the one exception of Morrison's. I have to go to the edge of the New Forest for that.

    Hope you've settled in OK @bubbs. 😊

Yes thanks Maman, DH is fidget, fidget bloody fidget 🤣 He goes surprise you didn't bring the ice cream maker 😂 I said now you are being silly 🤣🤣

When we checked in she said due to covid we are not going in rooms, we are here 2 weeks, in a hotel i expect my bed changed weekly and at least clean towels every few days, i said to her what do we do about bedding and towels then? she said if you mention it to us we can do it when you are out.
Is it me expecting too much ? when before covid you had clean towels every couple of days and bed changed about every 5 days?
