I checked online @joedenise and on Amazon a tin of confit (4/5 pieces) is £22.50! In French supermarkets it's around 10 euros a tin! Incredible difference. ☹️
Wow, just wow!  Had no idea it was so expensive here.  The one I've got is in a vacuum pack which is why it's frozen.  I dread to think how many syns it'll be when we do have it - will definitely have to be on a Wednesday night once I'm back in target!!!

Just checked online and syns aren't as bad as I'd thought - 8.5 syns per 250g for the Waitrose one.  Checked the Waitrose website and far cheaper than Amazon!

I checked the Waitrose one too @joedenise but it's only for 2 legs. I usually get 2 meals from a tin as they have 4 or 5 legs in each. I think by heating it up over a rack in the oven and not eating the skin, it reduces syns. The French instructions say to reheat in a frying pan. Imagine the syns! 🤣

  • Hello, hope it's okay if I join in with the thread :) I've done Slimming World in the past a few times and I liked the plan but there was a lot of disordered talk in my local groups (with leaders ignoring or even outright encouraging it), so I'm going to restart tomorrow morning at home, without worrying about going to a group.

My diet is fairly okay, but I could do with some more home cooking and having fewer snacks. I was exercising a lot (I enjoy it as stress relief) but I had Covid a couple of weeks ago and I'm still having to build my strength back up.

I've got around 7 stone to lose in total but I'm not putting too much pressure on myself. I'll be happier with a consistent 1/2 lb a week rather than chasing unsustainable giant losses, getting annoyed and quitting!
