I really struggled what to have as not much speed as don't want alot left although I'll have to buy some tomorrow

Morning all, it's lovely to see the sun this morning. Machine load of washing done and hanging on the line, unfortunately virtually no breeze so not sure it'll actually dry but I can hope!
Today's plan:
B - Welsh rarebit - HEB; HEA2; P; F
L - LO cottage pie, green beans - P; S; F
D - Fakeaway KFC, chips, beans, corn on the cob - P; S; F; 4.5
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
Syns - instant mash powder 2.5; tsp butter 2; will probably have a couple of rum & ginger beer 5
No much Speed today although there is some in the cottage pie. Will also have some fruit. Have decided to syn the instant mash so that I can actually see how many syns I'm really using! Will weigh out 25g so half for me will be 2.5 syns.
Have a good day everyone.

Well, as expected, that 1/2 ton of beef impacted, + 1 1/2 lbs, but I don't care! Will hopefully reverse that this week, but am a slow loser, so live in hope.
Have read back on the posts I missed, sorry to read about your dad Klew, it is difficult losing a parent.
Mrs R, don't be so hard on yourself, this is a journey which has bends, life would be boring otherwise.A smile costs little but creates much1 -
That's not too bad at all @Gettingtherequickly. Although perhaps not all the meals have caught up yet. 🤔 Anyhow there's nothing you can do about it other than change things going forward. I'm sure you'll do your best. I looked at some images of those Worshipful Company halls. They're stunning.
It must be hard having to run down all your fresh food to go away @bubbs but I suppose you're used to it. I'm very out of practice as we haven't been anywhere away from home for ages. It'll be interesting to see what you can cook up in a hotel room.
I'll be interested to know how far 25g of instant potato goes for your KFC @joedenise. I definitely don't use as much as the recipe suggests, including less egg but as I make up a jarful in advance I've never measured how much per meal. We have two chicken thighs each and they've got smaller over time as now I halve any really large ones. We're not having KFC today as I have some cold chicken to use up. DH noticed the jars of UB Sweet and Sour sauce in the cupboard, so that's on the menu for tomorrow. We'll be clucking soon! 🤣
I am having weekend wine today but I am on the lookout for a lower %alcohol to keep the syns down. 🤔 Need to finish what I have in store first though.
I've done my meal plan and shopping list for later. I'm going to do some Bolognese too over the weekend as I'm down to the last portion.
Today's EE plan-
B- scrambled eggs(P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- LO hash and veg (P,S,F), egg (P), pickled cabbage (S)
D- cold chicken (P), SW chips, few peas (F), broccoli, asparagus, tomato, mushrooms (S)
Syns- weekend wine😁0 -
Went to the dentist yesterday so spent the afternoon feeling sorry for myself and not posting...lol...what a baby...
Did the shopping and meal planning today, so all sorted for the week.
Does anyone use a fitbit or similar? What app do you use with it?
I've been using the fitbit app, but it wants you to put in goals for everything and I'd just like monitor things for the moment, so I have an idea of a starting point.
And also, the fitbit doesn't tell you how much weight you've lost, just how much you need to lose to get to your goal and I just find that a bit soul destroying.
I'd like to see a running total of weight lost, that seems far more encouraging...
If anyone has any ideas, they'd be appreciated.
Food today
B: Fruit, you, benefit bats x 2 (HEB)
L: Soup, fruit
T: Chicken curry (it's a jar sauce and I'm pretty sure I used some olive oil too, so I'm going to say 15 syns), rice, salad
HEA of milk for hot drinks.0 -
Evening all
While i remember sweet and sour reduced sugar on offer in Sains £1, i got 4 today .
Today i had apple and handful of grapes for breakfast
Lunch BNS chips, ham and egg
Tea KFC and salad
Maman, i am going to cook a cottage pie for Tuesday and a casserole for weds, i will freeze it and leave in the boot of the car so it's cold 😂
I am totally knackered, fell asleep last 2 nights on the sofa and i don't do that, DH does, he said about something on telly tonight , i said will we see it though? 🤣
It's hard trying to get sorted out for 2 x 2 weeks away back to back, do all the washing and packing and all the extras we need like extensions , chargers, condiments for hotel room etc, i have lists galore and i am not a list person.
Been really busy with refuge donations as well.
It's been glorious here last 3 days but not had time to hang washing out , well i have but that would mean it needs ironing 🤣 so all been in the drier, bill will be 😱😱Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
@maman - 25g of dried mash powder definitely wasn't enough so I doubled it but quite honestly could have done with a bit more! Think in future I'm just going to call is 25g each! Once I'm back to target I won't bother syncing it again!
@bubbs sounds like you need your holiday! I know what you mean about back to back holidays - been there done that got the t-shirt! It was bad enough November/December when I had a week between the 2 week holiday and then away in the motorhome a week later!
