  • I'm loving my completely free breakfasts of yoghurt and berries but I'm going to have to rein it in and swap to some cheaper fruit as its costing a fortune.
Looking forward to the warmer months when the stoned fruit is always on offer. I thought about the frozen berries but I'm a bit fussy and not sure if they'll be too soggy??

Lunch was a slice of wholemeal toast, beans scrambled egg and plum tomatoes.

Dinner was another SW recipe Asian Barbeque Pork (rather than the suggested chicken) stuck loads of veg in and served with boiled rice. I wasn't really sold, but my fussy 12 year old asked for more so couldn't have been too bad.

Only had 3 syns  today, hot choc before bed to get above 5.
I've been deliberately low on syns this week as we have a birthday the weekend, out for a relatively healthy carvery but will be allowing myself a small bit of birthday cake, and maybe a waffle for breakfast...

Yum to your pudding @bubbs. 😋

I have the frozen berries @annabanana82. The only fruit that's soggy are the strawberries. You can buy separate fruits though like raspberries. Farmfoods is good if you have one nearby.

You're right that carvery can be a good choice. I don't have the Yorkshire puddings and then try to pile on the vegetables to try to not have room for too many roast potatoes and parsnips. Have a good time. ☺️

    Evening everyone
@joedenise- it’s Lizi’s low sugar granola. Someone was talking about it on a diabetes support group I’m on on Facebook and I picked some up in Tesco last week. I scanned it and I was pleased to see it came back as HEXB choice. I didn’t think I would be fussed on it as it’s nuts and seeds and I’m not keen on that sort of thing usually but it’s actually really nice.

Really good news today- my medication has been halved!! I’m down to one tablet per day now! Diabetes nurse is really impressed with my weight loss. She’s also given me something to help with my tummy troubles. Hopefully- fingers crossed- the scales should start moving again.

My new (new to me- it’s second hand from EBay but is unworn with tags) Lipsy dress arrived today. It’s lovely- I tried it on with my new RI leggings. I’m going to wear it when I go for a meal with the family next month. I’ve just bought another Lipsy dress on EBay to wear when I go for a meal with OH for our anniversary next month.

Finally our shower is fixed 😂I’m still going to the gym tomorrow though. I’m looking forward to my swim.

    Today’s food:
B: HEXB LS granola, strawberries, blueberries, yoghurt. Coffee with HEXA
L: SW lunch pot, veg. HiFi bar (3)
Snack: Popchips (3.5) Taste Inc Chicken Fillet thing (1)
D- Sweet chilli salmon, SW chips, veg. Chocolate (4.5)
S: Cathedral city cheddar bites (5.5)
    Syns: 17.5
    Night all xx

I would not be chuffed if my consultant said "it's in the book"!!
That's what my previous consultant used to do.  I think it's lazyitis!  Same as she never answers queries on our Facebook page but leaves it to other members.

@Mrs_Ryan thanks for the granola info.  Will keep an eye out for that next time I'm in Mr Ts.

Nothing much planned today other than trying to find some shoes for DH, can't believe a 70 year old still has growing feet but his current pair are definitely too tight and he's currently wearing trainers all the time which can't be good for his feet.  Need to find some soon as we're going out to a Valentine's dinner and dance next month at his Golf Club.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - bacon, sausage patty, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F
    L - low fat burger & onions in wholemeal roll - HEB; S; 0.5
    D - pork steak, duchess potatoes, cabbage, peas - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - wholemeal roll
Syns - burger 0.5; rum or gin

I'm still within syns every day since WI!

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all.

@bubbs What is in that pudding, is it ice cream?  It looks nice.

I buy Post Grape nuts and they are getting so expensive - £3.30 now in Asda.  You are allowed 40g as a HexB.  Does anyone know a cheaper alternative that I can still have on SW, like Aldi or Lidl for instance?

Have a good day everyone. x
