@bubbs your pudding looks delicious. We do have a farm foods nearby and passing Thursday so will stop by and have a look.
I was going to Parkrun this morning, then found I'd lost my sports bra, and there is no way I can even jog with out some support. We will start in Feb as busy next Saturday. But we are going for a walk in the woods this afternoon
I've made a syn free cottage pie, and a meat free one for my Husband and Daughter as they don't eat beef. We'll have that and cabbage for our evening meal this evening.Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

@Abbafan1972 - @bubbs pudding is ice cream made with a posh ice cream maker using fat free natural greek yoghurt so syn free! I've got one of those where you put the bowl in the freezer but the ice cream doesn't turn out anywhere near as nice as hers - just can't justify the cost for one of automatic ones. It is worth it for @bubbs as she has ice cream and fruit every day for pud.
Well done @Suffolksue - 3lb is a great loss. It might not be what you wanted but I'm sure you can shift that other 2.5lb next week or perhaps another 3lb to get a bit lower.
Managed to get DH a pair of shoes in the first shop we went into - that's good because there's only a couple in our town and one of them he doesn't like! I also picked up a pair of M&S trousers in the charity shop for 99p. Haven't tried them on yet but wouldn't be surprised if I have to shorten them a bit as I often have to but for that price it's worth it.

Well done on your 3 lb loss @Suffolksue👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. It's a great result for one week. Keep it up, you must have done everything right. 😊
Excellent news about your medication @MrsRyan. That's the great thing about SW compared with many other 'diets', it's healthy.
Your DH would have been fine with trainers and a suit @joedenise. It's very on trend. 🤣
When you go to Farmfoods @annabanana82, take a look at their frozen veg. That's really good too. I always have a bag of their frozen leeks in the freezer, so much easier than cleaning and chopping fresh ones and good value.
I did some research into breakfast cereal @Abbafan1972.Tour grape nuts are coming out at about 24p per HEB portion. Aldi has lots of own brand HEB choices.- Wheat Bisks (Weetabix) 6p per HEB
- Wheaties (Shreddies) 5p
- Bran Flakes 4p
- Wheats (Shredded Whet bite size) 12p
- Porridge Oats 3p!
Football today but not until teatime thanks to TV. It'll mean a very late dinner. It's salmon but as it's in a marinade there's 1 syn with it.
Today's EE plan-
B- fried egg, bacon (P), baked beans (F), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- bubble & squeak, ham and pickles (P,F,S)
D- salmon (P), SW chips (F), carrot chips, broccoli, tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
Syns- Crunchie 3, salmon 1, weekend wine😁

Great about the gas @bubbs. Do let us know if they turn up again tomorrow. 🤣
Another STS☹️ Has your consultant given up on ideas for you? Mine was a bit stumped. Suggested more water, or rather water as well as tea because caffeine can be dehydrating. I've switched to hot squash instead of tea for the last two evenings and I've slept better so that's a bonus. Wine tonight though. Football was excellent so something to celebrate. 😁1 -
Morning all, half pound on yesterday and I’m gutted - and baffled as I was so on plan all week. Never mind I’ll keep plodding. Consultant said my food diary was good and asked I do another one this week.
Bacon medallions with beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and 2 slices of wholemeal toast (HEB), chicken fajitas for dinner with a tonne of veg and without the wraps. I never have lunch at the weekends as breakfast is usually later in the day.
Have a good day all.1 -
Morning all.
@maman
Thanks for posting about different cereals. I do try and mix it up a bit with the cereals and keep the price down where I can. I already have Asda chocolate wheat bisks, which are much cheaper and just as nice as the Weetabix ones, plus Asda malted wheaties rather than the more expensive Shreddies. The porridge oats I use are Asda smart price 1kg bag which are mega cheap. The grape nuts are the only thing that are mega expensive. I was wondering if there was a cheaper equivalent, as I like them as a change from oats, but as £3.30 a box that's quite a lot. Perhaps I could try all Bran instead?
I love Aldi's bran flakes as well.
I bought some Warburtons wholemeal 400g bread yesterday as you are allowed 2 slices as a HexB or 5 syns. Much cheaper than the Kingsmill no crusts wholemeal that you are allowed 3 of, but at £1.50 a loaf that's really expensive!
Have been using frozen fruit as well, rather than buying it fresh all the time, as it works out so expensive.
Hope everyone has a good day. x
