It's taken me until today to get myself back on the wagon.

It seems that if I'm not on it then I hide from the world, which definitely doesn't help.

So, I'm making it public that whether I'm on plan or not, I intend to come on here and post...Hopefully that will help.

    Todays food:

B: Bacon, egg & mushroom sandwich
    L: Soup and/or fruit
    T: Chicken & cauliflower dahl.

Morning all.  Had a busy weekend in London seeing Back to the Future the musical (amazing show) and LOTS of walking.  Food wise we had dinner on Saturday at Dishoom (they're a small chain of bombay style cafe's) which was amazing and then brunch yesterday morning at My Old Dutch for pancakes 😋.  Don't think the walking worked off many of the calories but I am still quite bloated from star week so we'll see what happens this week.

Breakfast this morning was simple weetabix with a kiwi fruit.  Lunch is going to be a tuna salad to use some bits up and then dinner is more stuffed peppers (quick and easy and based on what we have in the house).  Need to try and go to the supermarket tonight but also have a lot of other things to sort out so might have to wait till tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Morning all, another dry but cloudy day.  Machine load of washing done and on the line but don't think it's going to do a lot as there isn't the hint of a breeze but at least it's out in the fresh air!  Really annoyed with myself as didn't check all the pockets (although I thought I had) and there was obviously a tissue in one so everything is covered in bits and it's a darks load so really shows.  Hoping we get a bit of breeze later and some will get blown away but if not it'll be out with the sellotape to try and lift it off!  Grrr!

DH has gone off to golf this morning so on my own so will get a bit of housework done and tidy up a bit, although it isn't too bad with being out yesterday!

    Today's plan:

    B - egg sandwich - HEB; P; 3.5
    L - veg & pulses soup - P; S; F
    D - carbonara - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - butter 3.5

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Feeling really nervous about WI this evening, last week I could feel my body was different but nothing like that this week.

I have been on plan or week, though not sure how yesterday really was. Carvery was fine, only syns were gravy and horseradish. I made sure I filled up on veg.

Then a small slice birthday cake which I have no idea on syns.

    Today's menu

Breakfast, FF Greek yoghurt, fruit HiFi Hexb

Lunch, think I may have mushrooms on toast with dairylea? 3 syns for bread.

Dinner, bacon and pea risotto. I've done made this in years so really looking forward to this, will be making this syn free

@annabanana82 - don't worry about WI tonight.  If you've been on plan all week then you should still see a loss even though you had some gravy, horseradish and small slice of birthday cake.  Assuming it was a sponge cake it would be around 5 syns for 25g which is a very thin slice.

If you don't have a loss at least you will know why!  Tomorrow starts another week of food optimising.

You'd saved some syns for yesterday's meal @annabanana82 so 🤞🏼all will be well. Let us know how you get on.

Glad you had a good time in London @ruby_eskimo. It's good to have treats otherwise we just could get to be slaves to the plan.

I can't say I've ever tasted a Grapenut @Abbafan1972 and probably won't at that price! 🤣 As you like a variety of cereal then I suppose keeping a box for occasional breakfasts isn't a bad idea. Personally I tend to have eggs but I suppose it depends on how much time you have in the mornings.

I'm not planning any HEXs today. I thought I'd try one day of just drinking squash and water so that I can at least tell my consultant that I've tried. I am expecting a loss this week but I don't think the water will be responsible. I am sleeping better though but that could be coincidence rather than lack of caffeine. Who knows? 🤔

    Today's EE plan-
B- scrambled eggs and ham (P)
L- LO veg (S), potato (F) and cold meat  (P)
    D- beef stew (P,F,S)
    Syns- 0
