Back again!  I understand now @annabanana82, it read as though it was just the spicy meat!  I would definitely have some rice or a jacket it with it in future, I'd be hungry without it.

A good menu @Jellybaby.  Thinking I might need to put chilli into my menu plan for next month with so many mentions of it!  Not had it for ages.

    Today's plan:

    B - Welsh rarebit - HEB; HEA2; P; F
L - SW avocado bowl (recipe from website) but eggs will be fried not baked as don't like them like that - P; S; 3.5
    D - beef stew; mash, cabbage - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - avocado 3.5 (will need to check how much avocado I put on my plate and adjust - probably up a bit!)

    Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon all.  Still feeling a bit blah today but in a totally different way to yesterday 🤦‍♀️😂  Taking it easy again, and being a bit more flexible with the food.  Had avocado toast for breakfast and then lunch was more of the sausage tray bake with a couple of crackers and spread.  Dinner tonight is going to be a mushroom risotto if I can get the energy together to pull it together 😂

Hope you're all having a good day.

  • After yesterday's menu feeling a bit stodgy and lacking in SF I've tried to make up for it today
Breakfast was mixed berries and Greek yogurt, lunch was a good salad and planning a stir fry for dinner.

Any suggestions for a SW friendly stir fry sauce?

Avocado seems to be trending on here today!🤣 Hope you feel better soon @ruby_eskimo.😊

My favourite sauce for a chicken or veg stir fry is honey, soy and lime juice @annabanana82. For 2 of us it's 2 tbsps of honey, 1 soy and a good squeeze of lime juice (from a bottle!) just before serving. I cook the chicken in the sauce so no Frylight used. It's 2.5 syns but delicious. There are less synful options I'm sure though.

WI today and a bit disappointed with STS. Hopefully all my good work will show next week. Shame as I only needed a pound but it happens.

    Today's EE plan-
    B- HEB Weetabix, HEA milk
L- lentil soup (P,S), ham with beetroot and tomatoes (P,S)
    D- beef (P), mash, HB gravy (F), veg (S)
    Syns-

Sorry you didn't get your lb loss you were hoping for @maman but at least it wasn't a gain.  I'm sure you did enough for a loss but it is what it is.

I weighed my half avocado and it was 46g so didn't have to add any more syns for my lunch.  Having a couple of rum and ginger beers tonight so that will add a few more but still well within syns.

@annabanana82 have to admit I'm pretty boring when it comes to stir fry and just use some soy sauce and some either lemon or lime juice (from a bottle) depending on which bottle I grab from the fridge!

You're right of course @bubbs and @joedenise, STS is better than a gain but it's the hope that gets you. ☹️

That chicken does look delicious @bubbs. 😋

It looks like I might be going out for lunch tomorrow but hoping to choose wisely. 🤔
