Morning all, just popping in quickly.  Well done to the losers again, and hope the various parents that aren't well are feeling better soon.

No exercise this morning as woke up feeling a little under the weather myself so some extra sleep was needed.  Not much of an appetite this morning to a couple of kiwi fruit to start the day, might have some weetabix of toast later if I need it.  Lunch is more of the vegetable tray bake thing from yesterday (was very nice!) and dinner is stuffed peppers.

Hope you all have a good day.

Morning, well done to all the losers and I'm sure you'll be fine @joedenise

Horrendous rain and wind here during the night, took me ages to get to sleep.  Needless to say I'm tired and grumpy this morning.   Hoping to get some time to have a flick through the new Slimming Eats book that arrived yesterday.

Not very hungry this morning so just had yoghurt and berries, veggie omelette with pickles for lunch and dinner is good old mince and tatties loaded with carrot and onion and cabbage on the side.

Thanks for the leggings recommendation @maman, I'll have a look when I'm in town at the weekend.

    Have a good day all!

Now I know why I don’t get my hopes up as I always end up being disappointed 😭I did manage a loss but I was really disheartened by it.
Still no award. Absolutely gutted. I’m away this weekend so I doubt I’ll get it next week either. I’m not far off and my consultant’s flippant remark ‘oh that’s not a problem to lose that’ really upset me as I’ve tried so so hard and still didn’t get what I wanted so actually yes it is a problem!
My last blood test was November, my next one is next month and I’m not even half a stone lighter, no doubt I’m going to get grief from the nurse for that.
    Absolutely fed up.

Sorry to hear that @MrsRyan. I know you're going away at the weekend but you are really good at finding SW friendly ways to eat. You seem to know all the low syn snacks available on the go and if you're careful, hotel buffet  breakfasts can be fine. I always avoid the sausages and sometimes I'll have a hash brown rather than toast as it's rare to see wholemeal bread.  Obviously, you want to enjoy yourself but can you choose places to eat that serve healthy food for your main meals? 🤔 I know it's not easy but even places like Wetherspoons and Subway have SW friendly options.

Hope you feel better as the day goes through @ruby_eskimo. It's not like you to miss your exercise.

I know I'm running low on HM ready meals. I think we ate the last large portion of chilli last night and possibly 2 X Bolognese left. I can always tell as the kitchen cupboard where I keep the plastic boxes gets fuller! 🤣 I could do with updating my freezer lists but I'm keeping out of the kitchen at the moment as the new cooker is being fitted.

I try to keep everything before WI as unchanged as possible and that includes Wednesday's dinner. I always measure the pasta so I know the portion sizes are always the same. Then tomorrow I'll have Weetabix for breakfast before WI and wear the same WI clothes. Its not just superstition but I am trying to compare like with like, controlling variables. Following the science! 🤣

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, banana (F), red berries (S)
L- lentil soup (P,S), mackerel (P) with leaves, tomatoes and beetroot (S)
    D- SW Bolognese (P,S), spaghetti (F), HEA 2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0

Sorry to hear you didn't get the loss you had hoped for @MrsRyan; but at least it was a loss.  As @maman said try to choose healthily while you are away at the weekend.  My go to place for main meal is Weatherspoons - generally have a gammon or steak with jacket potato or jacket potato, beans and salad.  Hotel breakfasts just avoid the sausages as they will definitely be high syn; I usually choose scrambled eggs rather than fried eggs as can never be sure how much oil has been used.

Like you @maman I wear the same clothes for WI (in fact I don't wear my lightweight trousers any other time as don't really like them and they are getting really old now; have had them since I started SW back in 2010!  They were getting really tight and I didn't want to go up a size so started SW and haven't looked back.  Since starting my current group I have an omelette of some sort for breakfast as group doesn't start until 10.30am and can't wait that long for my breakfast!  At my old group I used to take overnight oats or baked oats to eat after WI.  I'm absolutely over the moon with a 2lb loss!  Absolutely no idea how as was hoping that I'd scrape an STS!  I suppose there must have been enough damage limitation after the really bad Saturday night syns!

Hope you're feeling better now @ruby_eskimo.  You did the right thing having a bit of extra sleep - you can always do a bit of exercise later if you feel up to it.

Well done @joedenise! 👏🏼 I wonder if it's coming off because you had the big gain which is more like when you first start IYSWIM. They always say if it goes on quickly it comes off quickly. Doesn't really matter anyway. It's 2 pounds gone!! 😁

Cooker installation is proving a bit fiddly. It's not the appliance itself but making sure it's level with the work surfaces. No matter, I could do my lunchtime soup in the microwave anyway and I'm sure it'll be sorted by dinner time. 🤔

Thanks @maman.  Perhaps you're right.  Let's hope it carries on in the same vein!  I'm going to try and do the less than 15 syns a day this week as I won't be drinking wine (we've run out - had the last bottles at the weekend!) so it'll just be spiced rum or gin with mixer this week.

Hope your cooker gets installed before dinner time!  Hope you've had your lunchtime soup by now!
