Thanks @bubbs. That's excellent. I'll call into Asda tomorrow as I need all those things. 😁 I have to go to the tip with all the packaging from the cooker and it's right by Asda. I'll fill up the car at the same time. Very mse. 😇

Cooker all sorted. Hopefully it won't be that difficult to get used to. 🤔

  • I thought today was going to be difficult as it was my first day at home on my own, previously I'd eat more on these days as obviously calories don't count if no one else sees you eating 🤦‍♀️

But I've been good, and only had 2.5 syns with a pink and white.

Breakfast was a hifi bar part hexb and Strawberries

Lunch left over chilli just the meat and 25g of grated cheddar

Dinner SW Rojan Josh sauce, with chicken,  extra veg and rice.

The children have cracked open a bar of fancy chocolate from Christmas so I will have a small chunk of that at some point which I will count as 5 syns. I will be brushing my teeth afterwards to help stop me going in for a second piece.

Well done on all the losses so far this week

Good menu @annabanana82. If it was me, I'd have had a jacket potato with the chilli and some pickles or salad but as long as you weren't hungry then that's fine.
Was the Rogan Josh sauce from Iceland? Would you recommend it? 🤔

I think I do need to introduce some more salad at lunch, but I wasn't hungry after, the addition of cheese made it feel quite a treat

No, it was a recipe I found on the app, it was okay lacked depth of flavour I thought but it was super easy and the whole family are the lot so I might try adapting it with different spices

@annabanana82 - SW recipes often need to be adapted.  I find they tend to be very liquid and lack flavour so I use far less stock/passata etc and increase the amount of spice - I also tend to mix my own spice mixes and keep in jars - I just get the mix recipes from the internet.  The PON website has some of them but again I don't find those particularly good but they're not bad as a starting point.

Was there no veg in your chilli as you said you just had the meat?  I always add plenty of veg to anything like chilli or curry.

Back later once I've checked my menu plan - can't remember what we're having other than beef stew tonight (I can only remember that because I got it out of the freezer yesterday to defrost!).

I've found SW ready meals in the past spicy but bland and felt as though the spice was simply to make up for lack of bad things.

There was veg in the chilli, I meant that I didn't have rice or potatoes with it

Morning, back to being cold and frosty here.  Could have stayed in bed quite easily this morning.  Apart from work and meeting a colleague for a quick walk and coffee nothing else exciting planned.  Feeling a bit blah this morning but sure it will pass as the day goes on

Breakfast will be the last of the yoghurt, berries and mango, tuna salad for lunch and chilli with rice for dinner.

    Have a good day all!
