    Morning all,

Had my first WI last night and managed to lose 5.5lbs.  I know first week losses are usually quite big, someone also on their first week got their half stone award.

I think the weekend will be harder than in the week, as at the weekend I have a habit of picking at things!

    Have a good day all.

    Great loss.

We had someone move to our group last night, she was in another of our consultants group and she lost a staggering 17lb in her very first week, we were stunned!

Had a lovely day out but fell off the wagon 😂Never mind, back on it tomorrow. I got some Lululemon leggings- I’ve always wanted some, they do go up to a 24 so I could have had some before but I had a bit of a meltdown over sizing. OH bless him, isn’t usually forceful but he did mildly tell me off. He told me to stop doubting myself and just get the size I need (18) I was still throwing a strop so I sent him to find a sales assistant to help.

To give him his dues he found a very helpful lady to help me. She explained the sizing to me and politely stopped me reaching for the size 24’s, explaining that she thought they might be a bit big for me. She did say that the leggings came up big so I could size down to a 16, but I did say I would be happier with the 18 due to the material- and both her and OH agreed the 18 would be a good fit. I’m glad I listened- they are indeed a nice fit. I potentially could have got into the 16 but im happier that there’s a bit of room in the 18’s.
I also got a hoodie from Superdry- it’s a 12/14 but it’s oversized. Again, I had a bit of a self doubting moment but I tried it and it looked fine. When I got home I tried on the leggings and hoodie together and I’m really happy with how it looks.

One thing I will say though- Bicester Village is not the place to go if you’re poor :D I bought the hoodie, leggings (70 quid in total but not bad savings- the leggings alone are usually well over 80 quid) some soaps from L’Occitane (I adore their soap- I got 6 bars for £22. Mum remarked that was good value and unusual that you see them) and I treated OH to a joint birthday and anniversary pressie of a polo shirt and jeans from the Boss store. As it’s our second anniversary (cotton) I’m giving him the shirt for our anniversary and the jeans for his birthday.

Many of the shops I was way too intimidated to go into :D I had dressed nicely (was wearing my new Lipsy dress and was carrying my beautiful and rarely used Mulberry Bayswater) but my saggy old size 24 Yours leggings and size 24 bargain basement Evans coat probably screamed I’m too poor to shop here 😂 I need a new coat I think!

Apologies for the off topic rant 😂night all xx

Mrs Ryan I think you worry too much about named brands 😂😂 ( no offence meant 🥴) I’m a cheapskate primary/Poundland kinda gal 🥰
WI with STS 😤 glad it’s not a gain as hubby kept feeding me his homemade meals which aren’t as SW as I’d like.
Hes up to 3 times a week dialysis now! Still not noticed much improvement as still sleeps a lot.
    Have a good weekend all

Afternoon all, well I've been out and about a bit today with physio this morning, then we went to the big City nearest to where we live and to the 2nd hand iPhone shop to get me a new phone - I've got a really old Samsung at the moment and it needs charging twice a day!  It's already had 2 new batteries so decided it really is time to replace it as as everything else is Apple might as well go the whole hog!

I'm with you @TakeItEazy - It's Primani, £land for me too or even F&F or George!  A STS is better than a gain so well done.  Hopefully your hubby with improve as time goes on.  I'm sure the sleeping will help.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F
    L - roast pork & apple sauce sandwich - HEB; P; 1
    D - vegetable biryani - S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - Tbs LTL mayo 0.5; Tbs apple sauce 0.5; weekend wine

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

  • I've got my step count up today walking round the shopping centre looking for my Daughters birthday presents then the huge Asda. It doesn't feel like exercise but i am tired now.

    Meals today

    Breakfast: baked oats 1 sun
Lunch: packet chicken tikka slices 1/2 syn and rubbish lunch need to plan better.
Dinner: lean gammon, mustard mash, mushrooms and onions.

Hot chocolate this evening 5 syns

Think we are going to Nando's tomorrow so planning plainish butterfly chicken, spicy rice and broccoli at 5 syns might add some mild sauce for an extra syn or two

Evening all, I had a 4lb loss this morning which I’m delighted with - just need to keep it going. Shopping straight after class with my list and got most things. I’ve written out dinners for the week and stuck it on the fridge - just in case DS fancies cooking 😜.  Bacon, tomato and chilli spaghetti for dinner I think.
