I am so far behind reading this thread, I don't know when I can catch up.  Just wanted to pop along and say that although it's been hard I have managed to do a mixture of calorie counting and SW and have lost another 1lb this week
    WEll done  :)

  • Well done to the losers, great start to the year. Amazed to report that I can officially join the losers with a 2lb loss. Did not expect that, so more than happy😀 We had 112 through the 2 classes, with 170 loss, a whole person😱 consultant over the moon.

    Anyone buy the SlimmingEats book?

Really pleased for you @Its_time. 👏👏👏 Keep plodding on. If you can try to make sure the low calorie foods are healthy too.

In our discussion at my group today, one of the women was saying that she'd stuck to plan (and lost weight) but counted calories as well. She'd done it to prove a point to her personal trainer who said calorie counting was the only way. She found that by making sure she filled up with fruit and vegetables that she still stayed full and stayed within calories. Someone else made the point that just low calorie can be unhealthy if you just eat biscuits or whatever for the calories.

I see that the garlic bread won out @bubbs. Wot no soup? 🤣

    Hiya all
Still not losing! My mum has said the same thing- she’s plateaued as well, and I’ve seen loads of people on the diabetes support group say the same thing. It’s really frustrating- and while I’m not losing I don’t want to go to group as I get really upset and also feel like I’m being judged.
Not quite sure what I can do :(
Im off to Bicester Village tomorrow. I’m like a kid at Christmas as I’ve always wanted to go there. I have ordered a dress for my graduation- it’s a size 18, took a bit of a risk as it’s not until June but it’s a Popsy clothing dress and my size 22’s from there still fit. I went for a mooch around the shops to see if I can improve on it but the problem I’ve got is that my graduation is June and everything is still dark, long and made out of nylon material! I don’t know what size I am either, I’m scared to pick up the smaller sizes. I feel like a fraud. Anyone else feel the same?
    Todays food:
B: HEXA and B cheese on toast (+4) skinny bar (3) coffee (3- extra milk and skinny syrup, yes I measured out exactly 100mls of semi skimmed!)
L: sushi (1) Houmous and carrot (3) water
D- SW chicken rogan Josh, salad, Ben’s Wholegrain rice (3) Chocolate (4.5) water
    S: SW savoury muffins
Syns: 21.5 (it should work out over the week as I’ve cut back other days)
    Night all xx

    Morning all,

Had my first WI last night and managed to lose 5.5lbs.  I know first week losses are usually quite big, someone also on their first week got their half stone award.

I think the weekend will be harder than in the week, as at the weekend I have a habit of picking at things!

    Have a good day all.

Loving it! Boss has linked it to his, so competitive streak to close off the circles every day! Circles relate to targets for extra calories to use, exercise & number of times you stand up & move.  Can be difficult with the stand up one with a desk job, but gives incentive, on the other hand, I spent most of Sunday on my feet so had to keep getting up when  finally sat down.

We had someone move to our group last night, she was in another of our consultants group and she lost a staggering 17lb in her very first week, we were stunned!

Well Harvester was a disaster... :(

They didn't have what I wanted but didn't say they were missing anything from the menu until we'd said we were ready to order, so then I felt the pressure of choosing something quickly!

So, far too many syns and not even a meal that I thought was worth the far too many syns...

So, what I've learnt from this situation is have a few choices, in case they don't have your preferred choice and if you're going to say 'sod it' to the syns at least choose something that you savour and enjoy...

@maman I plan my whole weekly menu...3 meals a day (I'm not a snacker) for the grocery shop. I like not having to think about more than once a week. :)

WI today and I've lost 4lbs...I imagine it was cause I felt so bloated, !!!!!! and grumpy about my Harvester meal that I couldn't face tea last night!

    Food today:
B: fruit, yog, benefit bars x 2 (HEB)
    L: Soup
T: Burger (1 syn), roast veg and some kind of potato - maybe cheese :)
