Weather has definitely changed here too @bubbs.  Quite a bit colder today - fortunately I'd put it 2 jackets, a thin one and a 3 in 1 one which was the one I wore today and definitely needed it!

I'm getting plenty of body magic in as have to walk into Brixham to go anywhere else.  It's fine going as it's all downhill but coming back is really hard work and I have to use my inhaler before I start the upward climb and then take it again half way up so it's definitely somewhere we won't come back to.  They're blurb says 150 yards to the beach but that's down an even steeper slope, in fact so steep we needed to walk down leaning back!  Would have been easy to just slide down if it had been icy!  Only walked that way the first day - never again!

Think we're going to get the bus into Newton Abbott tomorrow which is as far as the bus goes from Brixham so that will probably be a couple of hours each way!

  • WI tonight, 3lbs off for me and also now lost 10% of my body weight in 12 weeks.

My Daughter has put on 1/2 lb which she is really disappointed about and doesn't really know why as she has been on plan all week. I guess it's hormonal but it's not making her feel any better. But her clothes are noticeably big now so hopefully she won't be down for too long.

Well done Anna, your daughter will lose it next week, it is frustrating when you don't know why though :(

Don't have much choice about the hills unfortunately @bubbs as it's the only way to get anywhere - I'd certainly rather not be doing it every day but it is what it is.

Well done @annabanana82 that's a great loss 👏👏👏.  Half a pound on isn't the end of the world for your daughter but as @bubbs says it's frustrating not knowing why; but it's a great NSV (non scale victory) that her clothes are looser.

    Morning all,

Well done on the loss @annabanana82. Agree with others that your daughter is doing really well but understand the frustration, especially when you've been on plan.

@bubbs glad the stoma appointment went well and sounds like your Dad is doing okay, but ouch to the bruising. When my Dad was in hospital last year I knew he was on the mend as he was also complaining about the food!

Taste and smell still evading me and it's really weird. I use a vegan beauty brand which smells of eucalyptus and there's just nothing when I apply it. Had the last of the (thin) red pepper soup yesterday - knew it had chilli in it and could tell it was spicy as my tongue was complaining, but no taste whatsoever.

Enjoy the day trip to NA @joedenise - bus ride sounds a lot less effort - you are on holiday afterall!

Hope you enjoyed the Turkish meal @maman

    Today's food:
B - overnight oats with A!di vanilla FF yog, frozen cherries - HEB, 0.5
L - smoked peri peri mackerel, lettuce leaves, tomatoes, pickles - 1, S
D - SW sweet chilli chicken, rice, green beans, broccoli - 1, S
    Snacks - pineapple, kiwi, apple
    Total syns - 2.5

    Morning all,

@annabanana82 fab loss, you are doing really well, so is your daughter but I know from experience just how frustrating those wee half pounds can be!

Think of all that body magic @joedenise

Today's food is f/f Greek yoghurt and the last of the berries, veggie omelette and pickles for lunch and dinner is chicken skewers, salad and extra roasted veg.  I will probably have a soft pitta too instead of wraps as I know that's HEXB.

I said to DS last night I might need to start buying even more fruit and veg when I do the Saturday shop as I'm already running low and his response was 'oh no that means I'll have to help as you'll need another trolley!'

Morning all.  Glad to hear everything is going well with your dad so far @bubbs.  Fingers crossed he keeps making progress.

Keeping it short and sweet this morning as it's been a long weekend; mothers day meal with my folks was a really nice carvery, had a steak meal on Saturday with DH's family and then yesterday we were at DH's uncle's funeral.  I've not had a lot of sleep over the weekend and have been awake since 3am today so not feeling great, plus just generally feel bloated and blah.  Haven't had breakfast but lunch will be some cauliflower cheese soup and then dinner tonight is mushroom risotto.

Hope you're all having a good day, hopefully I'll be a little more coherent tomorrow 🤣🥱

Well done on your loss and your Club10 @annabanana82.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

As your daughter has been sticking with the plan, she'll see a loss too, hopefully next week. 🤞🏼

I often feel my trolley is like the Harvest Festival @Jellybaby. Sometimes fruit and veg is all I need so my trolley is packed with it. Generally, I have 3 large bags, one for bulky root veg and greens, one for packs like mushrooms, grapes, blueberries, peppers, milk etc and then one other for cans and jars although they tend to be mostly for the food bank.

Good idea to have a bus ride @joedenise. Weather isn't up to much here today either, cooler and a bit damp too. You get to see far more from a bus when you don't have to concentrate on driving.

Glad to hear the weekend meals went well @ruby_eskimo. IMO nothing worse than eating out, having syns and not enjoying them.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Turkish meal and the theatre production. I had sigara boregi to start which are like long  spring rolls filled with cheese and herbs so probably very synful but freshly cooked and delicious. Lamb shish on a bed of aubergine puree probably less synful for my main but enjoyed it all. Back on plan 100% today.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, raspberries (S), banana (F)
    L- cold pork (P), fried veg and pickles (S), 1 potato (F)
D- baked cod (P), SW chips (F), spicy cauliflower, broccoli, roast tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
    Syns- 0
