Morning everyone,
Great news about your dad @bubbs and I wouldn't worry about the STS given everything you're going through right now. Hope Dad had a good nights' rest xx
I didn't manage to get on yesterday. Still feeling tired but the beautiful sunshine yesterday saw me gardening with DH for a couple of hours. We cut back some shrubs that we meant to do a few weeks back, but the weather wasn't great. We weeded some flower beds and edged the lawn. It's a bit misty out there right now so definitely the right decision to do it yesterday. Food wise I had some toast and jam about 12noon, then a hifi bar about 3pm. We had A!di lamb shanks with roasted veg for tea (7 syns) but then I had some red wine and a whole packet of garibaldi biscuits. Felt so sick afterwards! 40 syns!! OMG.
I'm still tired and a bit jaded (due to the wine and sugar overload as well as Covid) so will have a quiet day today. It's DH birthday and we've nothing planned as I can't go out. He has a favourite pasta dish with courgette and parma ham and creme fraiche. Thinking I'll use Quark instead. I need to meal plan so DH can go food shopping for the week too.
Hope all those that mother have a good day. Can't bear it myself as too commercialised for my liking. Have ordered my Mum some bulbs to be delivered this week - would have taken flowers but obvs can't go visit!
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy

Thanks @bubbs. I've been tired too for the last couple of evenings. Maybe it's the hot weather! 🤣
Local DD1 came to see me earlier with flowers and had a good chat with DD2 on the phone. She's responsible for housekeeping in a boarding/day school and so many of her cleaning staff are off with Covid that they're run off their feet, working extra hours late into the evenings. It doesn't help that they're still having to do the Covid deep cleaning every day despite it being proved to be an airborne virus. 🤔
Syns have gone a bit haywire here too @Coxy11. Yesterday I had a pack of M&S chicken and stuffing sandwiches. I did enjoy them though. 😋 Back on plan today then out to a Turkish restaurant and the theatre tomorrow. No hope of staying within syns this week but will draw a line on Thursday when a new week starts for me.
Today's EE plan -
B- bacon, fried egg (P), baked beans (F), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- ham (P), vegetable hash (F, S), egg (P)
D- JO roast pork (P), SW roast potatoes (F), many vegetables (S)
Syns - gravy 4, weekend wine 😬0 -
Hi everyone,
I'll say one thing for Covid - once asleep I'm deeply asleep, so I can't complain on that score. I have now lost my taste and smell which is odd though. I am drawing a line under the weekend of eating silly stuff. Weighed myself this morning and am same as last WI, so I need to focus this week before I head off on my walk. I think the difficult thing is not being able to pop to Ts at the end of the road for fruit pots or other fresh stuff. DH did a couple of small top ups this weekend - first for household stuff and yesterday for food for the evening.
Food today:
B - poached eggs, bacon, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes - P, S
L - HM red pepper soup, WM roll - S, HEB
D - carbonara, salad leaves, tomatoes
HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar - 3
Will have the last of the red pepper soup today. It was a made up recipe and ended up quite thin so I won't be sad to see it go! We didn't have the carbonara on Friday so that will be tonight's dinner.
Hope dad is continuing to improve @bubbs. I will log on to the laptop as usual and see how it goes. Will finish early if it all gets too much. This is my first sick episode since joining 3.5 years ago, so I'm not exactly swinging the lead!
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy

Morning all,
Hope your dad is doing OK @bubbs I STS too on Saturdaybut went a bit haywire over the weekend - M & S cheese hotcross buns anyone?? It's done and dusted and I've drawn a line....
Berries and f/f Greek yoghurt for breakfast, bagel thin (HEXB) with bacon medallions and salad for lunch and dinner is prawn stir fry.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
I don't suppose it matters what you're eating if you can't taste anything @Coxy11.🤔
Funnily enough, I've been eyeing up hot cross buns lately @Jellybaby. I so enjoyed them last year, when my lockdown birthday lunch was a car picnic of goodies from M&S. I'm not a big chocolate fan so perhaps that will be my Easter treat. I think last year's ones had blueberries in them.
Good idea to draw a line under the weekend. I'm going out this evening which is unusual for a Monday but it's a rearranged play so probably just where they could squeeze it in. We're eating at a Turkish restaurant beforehand and I've decided to have whatever I fancy as I've not had Turkish food since 2019.
I've had my SW breakfast (bacon, egg, tomatoes) and my usual cold meat, pickles and fried veg for lunch so I'm being good when I can. 😊0 -
Afternoon all, been out to do a bit of shopping for our evening meals. Have bought some chicken to make a curry and some pork loin chops which we'll have tomorrow evening with some baby new potatoes and veg. Has been fairly SW friendly today with boiled eggs and soldiers for breakfast; char grilled chicken & salad for lunch and a lamb casserole for dinner tonight. Had a glass of wine with lunch and will probably have a couple of rum & ginger beer this evening.
Well done on STS @bubbs - that was good with all that's been going on. Hope your dad is getting better.
Hope you start feeling better soon @Coxy11; horrible that you've lost your sense of taste and smell, hope you get it back soon.
Enjoy the play this evening and your Turkish meal @maman.
Going to have a cup of tea now.

Coxy i know a few people that have tested positive this week ::(
Jelly see we are SW twins 🤣
Dad is not too bad thanks, black and blue from the waist down Mum said. He is very tired today, she said he answered her but wouldn't open his eyes to start with 🤣 when they brought his breakfast, cornflakes, he said you can take them buggas back they were horrible yesterday 🤣 bet they had soya milk and he does not like it, only goats.
There was hoo arghh yesterday as when Mum got there he was not in the room, had been moved but they said they didn't know where 😫 she said what do you mean you don't know where? Well they then told her and she can't walk that far so a porter said i will take you in a chair. They get the other side of the hospital and then said she could not see him because she did not have an appointment!
She said how can i have an appointment when you didn't tell me you was moving him! She was in a right state and my sister took her home, then gobby sister rang up and complained, she got an appointment for 6
Today she had to be up there for 9.30 to see the stoma nurse, she said that went well.
Has her appointment for 4 tomorrow
Denise hope you are having a nice break? weather is supposed to change here, hope it doesn't for you .
Today i had boiled egg and 2 pears for breakfast
Picky plate for lunch
Double burger for tea, hexb, part hexa, salad and half dozen chips
Maman enjoy your meal 😋
