    That's ridiculous @bubbs
They obviously should have asked about medication in general not just focused in on tablets. I feel so sorry for you all after getting psyched up for today, especially your dad. 🤞all goes well tomorrow. 🤗

Sorry to hear about dad @bubbs that’s ridiculous. So hope it happens tomorrow and you can move on to the next stage.

I’m feeling very tired, have an annoying cough and bunged up head. I stopped work at 2.30pm today as was finding it difficult to concentrate. Will see how I go tomorrow. My mum has also tested positive and isn’t vaccinated. She’s been feeling unwell since Friday but hadn’t mentioned anything - think we’ve found the super spreader 😳

Can’t go out for a walk and won’t be able to go to class. My consultant is leaving this Saturday due to ill health, which is a shame as she is lovely. I’d already booked the following three weeks off as I’m going to Scotland next Friday to walk the great Glen way and west highland way as part of my sister and I doing JoGLE. Could go mad and eat naughty stuff but don’t fancy it tbh.

Have a lovely break @joedenise hope you have good weather x

They did ask about them this is the thing, they asked mum what time he gave himself the injection and she said 9.30 at night, they said that was fine.

He was all gowned up ready to go .
The anaesthetist came and see him, asked when dad had it she said 9.30 last night as he always has it then, takes his other medication and goes to bed just before 10 as his sleeping tablets start to kick in then, so he said def no later than 9.30, she said no if anything it was before then, he was happy, the surgeon came and see him, he was happy , the 2nd anaesthetist came and he said no!
Mum said the other anaesthetist and surgeon have been and they said yes, he said well i am not happy and not willing to do it :(

  • What a palaver Bubbs, hopefully tomorrow will go swimmingly and he starts to feel like his old self soon.

Coxy, hope you are not too badly affected. The Irish media are saying that if anyone has not had Omicron, they are more than likely not going to be able to avoid this strain so they are expecting high numbers testing positive, but only a small number to be seriously ill/hospitalised.

Unexpected 1/2lb loss tonight, was chuffed considering I had very little speed in the freezer!

Well done on the loss GTQ xx

Wow bubbs what a ordeal! Let's hope something happens today as all the waiting is bound to be increasing the anxiety for all concerned.

I went to bed early and slept reasonably well last night. Still have the cough and sore throat but will log on as usual this morning and see what gives. I've been with this job for 3.5 years and haven't had a day off sick yet, so won't feel too guilty if I need to take some time off.

    Food today:
    B - scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms, spinach - P, S
L - HM roasted pepper and butternut soup, WM roll - S, HEB
    D - Spaghetti carbonara, lettuce, toms, parmesan - P, S, HEA
    HEA - milk
    Snacks - kiwi, hi fi bar - S, 3
    Total syns - 3

Morning all, hope it passes quickly @Coxy11 it was the after effects that floored me so look after yourself. My aunt has tested positive so I’ve been picking up prescriptions and shopping and doing doorstep drop offs.

On leave today and DS is taking me out for an early Mother’s Day lunch.  Love the restaurant we’re going to and their salads are amazing so very likely low syn meal.  But not hopeful for tomorrow as I’ve been stress eating all week but will take it on the chin and move on.

@annabanana82 and have a lovely time away @joedenise.  Bubbs fingers crossed for today and hope all goes well.    Apologies if I’ve missed anyone, still to catch up on posts.

Well done on your half pound @Gettingtherequickly. You must have managed to stay close to plan despite being low on supplies. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Thinking of you and your dad @bubbs. I do hope there are no further hold ups.

Don't push yourself too hard @Coxy11. I don't think it's a good idea, you being unwell but still working because you're at home. Most friends have told me that fatigue is one of the worst bits of having Covid and aren't you supposed to be doing a big walk soon?

That's a good idea to go out for an early Mothers' Day lunch @Jellybaby. It's likely to be less busy and probably better food and service  than on Sunday.

I think I can cobble together some lunch today by having 2 or 3 small potatoes instead of 1 large one but the cupboard is looking very bare. I have my list and meal plan sorted and will shop this afternoon. I'm thinking of doing plenty of roasted veg for dinner this evening and keeping some to experiment with a pasta bake. If I make a small one for my lunch tomorrow then I'll be able to judge whether it's up to a main meal if that makes sense.🤔

    Today's EE plan-
B- fried eggs, ham (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
    L- JPs (F), veggie chilli (P,S), pickles, lettuce (S)
D- Fake KFC (P), some sort of potato (F), roasted veg, greens (S)
    Syns- weekend wine😁
