I got a couple of BNS earlier this week - on Clubcard price at 75p.  No idea what I'm going to do with them yet but it certainly won't be the tagine I made a while back!

    Yes 75p :D

Stuffed is nice, or use instead of pasta layers in lasagne , BNS soup

What I particularly like about BNS is that I can just shove them in a cupboard and they'll keep until I'm ready to use them!

Can I ask how long you cook BNS chips for @bubbs - I assume you use the air fryer?  I made some with part of the last one and cooked them for 30 minutes and they still weren't cooked properly.  Just wondering if I should have par boiled them like I do potatoes?

I tend not to use a whole one at the same time but use it for 2-3 meals.  I like them added to a traybake so part of one may well end up used in that way.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - P; S; F; 2
    L - burger & onions in bun - HEB; P; S
    D - oven baked bacon and leek risotto - HEA2; P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - Primula
    Syns - sausages 2; 2 x rum & ginger beer 5

    Have a good day everyone.

Good luck at WI @bubbs 🤞🏻

Usual breakfast of 0% Greek yog, blueberries and a little granola. Stepmum has a pantry of dried fruit, nuts, seeds and has just got out dried pineapple for me to try. Had a couple just to keep the peace!

TOTM is still with me (more than a week now) and still has bad as ever. Just ridiculous ☹️

Meal later will be liver and steamed veg.

Well 2lb 🙄 on but still in target.

I am really fed up though of food, eating the same things.

More difficult because don't eat rice, pasta, pulses and want something we would both ideally eat, or i could have and give dh the meat part different 😏

That's not bad at all for a month away from home @bubbs. 😊

What about a chicken casserole as a change from beef? I make one with new potatoes cooked in it and it's great. It has butter beans too but they're not essential. Corned beef hash is good, not syn free but not bad for a tasty meal. I do a sausage casserole which is cut up sausages, bacon, onion, baked beans and mushrooms. I serve it with pasta but it would be OK with mash or a jacket potato. I like a stir fry too but I have noodles. Don't you have rice when you have Chinese? 🤔 Do you just not like rice, pasta and pulses @bubbs or is it because of your diabetes?

Well done for being tactful @Coxy11. It's really not easy when we're not in control of our own food.

It's my birthday today so SW is not my highest priority! 🤣 I've had a SW fry up for breakfast. DD2 is coming shortly, DD1 later (probably with cake), and then DH and I are out for an Italian meal later. Not sure about lunch but will probably have something SW friendly between visitors.

    have a good day all. I know I will.😊

Happy birthday @maman - have a SW birthday cake 🎂!  Have a good day and enjoy the time with your DDs and your meal out tonight.  Definitely a case of good when you can!

Like @maman I think 2lb on for a month away from home isn't bad going at all and you're still in target so that's a bonus.

@bubbs - Maybe have a look through some cookery books and see if there is anything that catches your eye that is different to what you generally cook!  Maybe even have a look at the website for recipes, especially the SP ones as they would fit in with your no carb meals.

Happy Birthday Maman 🎈🎉 have a lovely day and enjoy your meal xx

Not keen on pasta and rice and rice spikes my sugar, no to pulses. When we have a chinese i have a spoonful of rice but for a rice meal that is not enough. Might make some soup actually

I do sausage casserole but tbh not had it for ages. Never had corned beef hash
