Coxy your more adventurous than me I wouldn't even try calamari 😂 I'd still be hungry if that was my tea 🙈🤣

Funnily enough, I had calamari at lunchtime in a seafood linguine. It tastes OK but I find it chewy and much preferred the prawns and mussels.

Also had a cheeseboard. Some will have been HEA, grapes and celery free so mostly syns in crackers. Hardly worth it for £11.50!!

Also we had email saying that when our fix ends this month, prices will more than double on current usage. Looking at total for gas and electricity of about £3700!☹️

Maman  Everything is so expensive now and eating out will only go up because of energy prices :(

It's horrendous isn't it? Dreading what our gas will be when fix ends in January

Do you have a big house @maman?  That's seems really expensive for gas and electric.  I'm expecting mine to double but currently using just under the "typical" user so should be just under £2,000 for the year but still a lot of money for something that is a necessity to live.

We didn't manage to get away for our 2 month holidays last year which we're hoping to do this year which at least cuts back our use a bit although of course instead of paying loads for gas and electric we'll be paying extra for diesel so probably no better off!

We've already cut down the thermostat by a degree; reduced the hours the CH is on.  Also trying to use the oven less and using the air fryer/halogen oven, Remoska and microwave more.  Will also be using my pressure cooker a bit more.  I made the goat curry in the halogen oven this morning but disappointed that I don't think I'm going to manage to get 2 meals out of it.  We'll have it for dinner tomorrow and I'm hoping there will be enough left to have with a jacket for a lunch at some stage but won't know until I dish up tomorrow.

Morning all, another nice day but rain forecast for lunchtime onwards but at least the washing is all done!

DH is off to golf again this morning so once the housework is done I'm going to do a bit of my Diamond Dotz picture.  Quite near to finishing now and then it will need framing and I know the frame won't be cheap as it's a very big picture!

    Today's plan:

    B - frozen mixed fruit, cherries, yoghurt - S; F
    L - toasted cheese sandwich - HEA2; HEB; P; F
    D - goat curry, rice - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - probably a couple of rum & ginger beer

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning!

Was awake in the night as it was raining hard and rattling the shutters.  4 degrees here currently! Have just had 0% Greek yoghurt, blueberries and a sprinkling of GF granola. We will go back to the restaurant later for the mussels. Baklava is now packed, so no temptation there.

  • Another 1lb bit the dust.  Happy with that as I am a slow loser and think I was happier at the nsv.  Wore a pair of jeans on Wednesday which were a bit snug 2 weeks ago, Wednesday I could take them off without even opening the button, so that says a lot.

I have set myself a challenge on loss for this year, got my ticket for the panto at the Palladium in December, happens to be on a WI night and I don't want to book a holiday, so I put it out in group last night that there is only 1 way I can do that, get to target!  Hopefully that will be a challenge to achieve, wonder if I can set something up on my apple watch?  That gives me a monthly challenge, this month is to do 1080 mins of exercise, I am more than half way through that (walked for 5 hrs on Saturday, 27k steps), so happy to use it as a focus.  Annoyingly, it also gives sundry challenges, had to do 20mins continuous  exercise for International Women's Day, which I did, but then realised at 10pm that I had not set the clock when I started, so I didn't get the award, that wasn't happening, so had to do another 25! Starting to enjoy these challenges :)
