That's great @Jellybaby. 1.5lbs when you expected nothing is fantastic! 👏👏

If you have spare roasted vegetables, I think they taste great in a pasta salad. If it's not 'wet' enough, just add a squirt of tomato puree.

Sorry to hear you had a bad week (and a small gain☹️) @TakeItEazy. Hope for better next week. 🤞

    Hi all,

Had a STS at group this morning. I'm okay with that though as feel quite bloated and full effects of TOTM are now here - joy! Not joy actually as in Cyprus you can't flush paper down the loo, so I always stress if my visits coincide with TOTM :( Luckily I'm in the spare room with my own bathroom and bin!

I went to the big Kent shopping mall after class to get a few bits for my week away. Took a hi fi bar with me and got a Boots falafel/lentil salad pot when there - 4 syns. Not bad, but how they expect you to eat raw broccoli with a bamboo fork is beyond me!

    @Jellybaby that's a great loss, well done.
@Its_time sorry you had a little gain but please stick with it. We all know the plan works so keep going, we are all cheering you on xx

Might not post tomorrow as leaving at 8am for the airport. Will need to avoid Pret pastries - taking a couple of hi fi bars for the plane!!

    Food today
    B - poached egg, grilled bacon, tomatoes - P, S
    L - falafel/lentil boots salad - 4
D - who knows? - was meant to see DHs friends but we've had words, so have cancelled. Really looking forward to being away for a week!
    HEA - skimmed milk
HEB - 2 hi fi bars
    Syns so far - 4

Have a good trip @Coxy11. If you do get something from Pret for the flight, try a tuna nicoise salad. It's usually free (depending on whether olives or capers) and the only syns would be in the dressing which is separate so you can choose how much to have.

STS is good under the circumstances. 😊

Well done on the loss @Jellybaby, really good especially as you weren't expecting it.

STS isn't too bad when you're feeling bloated and it's TOTM so well done @Coxy11.  Enjoy your trip to Cyprus.

    Morning!
We ended up getting takeaway last night. I had chicken shish with loads of salad. I ate the pitta as I was hungry, so 8 syns right there, bringing my total up to 12 syns for the day.
Just throwing the last few bits in the case - we are leaving at 8am as flight is at 10:55. Will update from Cyprus - hoping for fresh fruit and lots of protein. Stepmum cooks with coconut oil, so will just have to go with it. I have 2 boxes of hi fi bars for the week to avoid anything naughty. Will look for Pret tuna nicoise at the airport @maman thank you!
    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, a bit better weather this morning - cold but dry and very blowy!  Already have the bedding on the line and currently have another machine load on which will be going out shortly.  Also have one more load to do after that but hoping the bedding will be dried by then so be able to get it in to hang that load out!

Hope you have a good flight @Coxy11 and not too much turbulence.  Enjoy your holiday and don't worry too much about SW - you can't sort it when you come back.

DH enjoyed the butter chicken so much last night and said he'd be happy to have it again today but I'd already got pork steaks out for a tray bake so will have the butter chicken again tomorrow night rather than putting it in the freezer!  It's well worth the 2.5 syns for the butter!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - sausages, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F; 2
    L - Welsh rarebit - HEB; HEA2; P; F
    D - pork steak, maple roasted vegetables - P; S; F; 0.5

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - low fat sausages 2; maple syrup 0.5

    Have a good day everyone!

Which recipe did you use for the butter chicken @joedenise? It must have been good if DH was happy to have it 2 days running.😊

As anticipated, food was fairly SW friendly last night. Mostly salads with dressings and a few nuts but definitely less than my usual Saturday. So I'm on course to be well within syns and go to WI on Thursday.

I'm hoping for at least STS but if I go out of target, what happens the following week?  We're away for a few days and what with my birthday there will be no chance of losing. Can you book a holiday in grace week? 🤔

i had my first portion of stew at lunchtime today. It's not like a thickened casserole but more like a beef broth with veg like the French pot au feu. I used a small piece of LO beef from the freezer so tomorrow will just be broth and veg. 🤣

I'm going to make more Yorkshires today. It's not something I'd normally have with chicken but we've been enjoying them.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, banana (F), berries (S)
    L- beef stew (P,S,F)
D- roast chicken (P), SW roast potatoes, LM stuffing balls (F) many vegetables (S) Yorkshire pudding, gravy
    Syns- gravy 4, Yorkshires 2, weekend wine😊

Decided to use patty tin instead today. Just a third of a syn per Yorkshire. Amazing!
