You're right. I was thinking the same. If you're lurking @Its_time, jump back on the wagon.😊

Well done Mr Bubbs for recognising he had a turkey dinner.👏 My DH still doesn't know it's not real wine in the beef in 'red wine' casserole but a Tesco stock pot.😉

Mrs R, i don't get why they have told  you test morning and evening , you are supposed  to test before you get up as your sugars change as soon as you stand up and then 2 hrs after food to see if what you eat raises your sugar and that tells you if it's affecting you what you eat.

Bubbs- it’s because I’ve just come off my medication and they’re monitoring me for the initial two weeks with the diet control.
I’ve been asked to do my fasting glucose each  morning and the last reading at night.

I used to have to test after every single meal but my diet is still quite carb heavy. As I discovered earlier if I don’t eat enough carbs I feel really shaky and hypo-ish. I also have obsession issues with testing as I have a personality disorder and my hands have been in a right mess, so they’re trying to wean me off the testing. My fingers were not only black with bruising but I was going through fifty test strips in just over a week and it was costing me a fortune. I think that was one of the ideas of taking me off the medication- to try and squash that obsession. (It is working, I’ve stopped carrying my test kit with me when I go out now)

Morning all, looking to be another dry day today although not sunny yet but it forecast for later today.  Up until last night it was being forecast for showers from late morning but that has now disappeared.

Good to hear that you've come off your meds and that you're not testing so much now @MrsRyan although doesn't sound good the amount you were testing previously.

    Today's plan:

    B - overnight oats - P; S; F
L - sliced chicken breast; 2 slices of corned beef; LO fried up roasted veg - P; S; F; 2
    D - LO butter chicken, basmati and wild rice - P; S; F; 2.5

    HEA - milk
    HEB - oats
Syns - corned beef 2; butter (in curry) 2.5

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all.  Just popping in quick to post meal plan for today.  Breakfast was the usual ff yogurt and blueberries, lunch is going to be a stir fry with some leftover veg from the week (mushrooms, peppers, courgette, carrot, beansprouts etc) and then dinner is a chicken tikka traybake.  Actually managed to get myself out of bed to do a workout this morning too so feeling good for that after a couple of weeks break.  Hope everyone has a good day!

    Have a good day all!
