  • What an evening I had. Didn’t realise that I was as close as I was to groups when I saw the flashing lights, so had to turn round and find another way there, which is not easy if you are not familiar with the area. Eventually, after more than one argument with the sat nav, which wanted to take me the way I couldn’t go, I was able to abandon the car about 1/4 mile from the hall, walk past all of the emergency services and get to group. Our consultant is quite relaxed about the session starting, but the area manager was there so they all had to wait until the start time, except me! I take the dosh, but she also made me weigh first, usually wait until the end. Happy to have lost 1lb, at least I pulled back my Saturday.

Session itself awarded Greatest Loser, which to my acute embarrassment, I won, so had to pose like a prat with the sash, flowers, bottle & cert. Then I won the raffle, 6 week countdown, now just need my lottery numbers to come up!
A smile costs little but creates much :)

That's excellent @Gettingtherequickly. You deserved a medal for just getting to the meeting! 🤣

Sorry to hear your dad's still poorly @bubbs. ☹️

You can have anything on your tagliatelle you'd have with dried pasta @beanielou. I almost always have Bolognese but I have that in the freezer so it's easy. Hopefully someone else can suggest something quicker to cook. 🤔

Morning all, bit miserable and grey this morning so no more washing going to be done today.  Supposed to be better tomorrow so will hopefully get the bedding done then.

What an evening you had @Gettingtherequickly!  @maman's right you deserve a medal - I think I'd of given up and gone home!  Well done on the lb loss too 👏👏👏.  Well done on getting the Greatest Loser for your group.

So sorry that your dad's still not well @bubbs.

@beanielou you could just have something like garlic creamy mushrooms using some light soft cheese or cheese triangles to make it creamy or just a garlicy tomato sauce.  Really just have anything you'd normally have with any other pasta - dried or fresh.

    Today's plan:

    B - Welsh rarebit - HEA2; HEB; P; F
    L - chicken breast, butternut squash chips, salad - P; S; 0.5
    D - fish pie, green veg - P; S; F; 3

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - bread
Syns - salad dressin 0.5; cheese sauce mix 3; may have a couple of G&Ts this evening 6

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning everyone,

Well done on your engineering skillage @bubbs and bubbs DH - Hope that the boiler comes on when you need it to. Agree with your DH to stall payment for a day or so to make sure!

Great news @Gettingtherequickly - but wow to your raffle prize of a countdown! We had an apron, box of eggs, bag of flour - for pancake day. I didn't win!

@Its_time well done on resisting a takeaway. You can do this xx

I went for my walk - took a large bag of clothes and books to the charity shop, then route marched to Sainsbobs and picked up F&V for today/tomorrow. Managed not to deck anyone en route lol. Dinner was LO bolognaise and I steamed some green beans with it. We went to see The Duke - good film, I laughed out loud several times - love Jim Broadbent.

    Food today:
    B - pineapple, cherries, 2 weetabix - HEB
    L - ham, cheese, lettuce leaves, tomatoes, pickles - P, HEA, S
D - turkey saltimbocca, mini corn, mangetout, green beans, new potatoes - P, 0.5, S
    HEA - skimmed milk
Syns - hi fi bar, rum and pepsi max - 5.5

Will treat myself to a single rum tonight - sunshine drinks. DH is out and I'm packing for Cyprus - leaving Sunday morning. Will be staying with DDad and Stepmum, so will need to be mindful next week.

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all.  Well done on all the achievements @Gettingtherequickly, especially just getting to the meeting!  And well done on making it out of the supermarket unscathed @Coxy11 - hope you have a great trip.

Have a rather annoying virtual meeting coming up today so have psyched myself up by putting on proper work clothes and doing my hair and makeup because I need to be on camera to actually get my point across 😆  Had usual ff yogurt and blueberries for breakfast, lunch is leftover veggie stew from dinner last night and dinner tonight is a homemade pizza as requested by DH.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Have a great holiday @Coxy11.  Whereabouts in Cyprus are you going?  I've only been once but loved it.  We stayed in Phaphos but hired a car so we could get around so saw quite a bit of it.

Which rum are you having if a single is 5.5?  The highest I can find online is 4 syns for a 35ml dark rum!  Spiced, white and  coconut rum are 2.5 for 25ml or 3.5 for 35ml; dark rum is 3 syns for 25ml or 4 syns for 35ml.  I know my rums!!!  Sounds like you're doing yourself out of a few syns!!!

Morning all, I've been reading along and enjoying all your antics, losses, menus, and chat but not much happening in my world this week apart from work, always work!   I sympathise with how you're feeling @Coxy11 - two years off a big birthday and I STILL have time of the month!  oh and I'm very, very crabbit!

Plodding along, not entirely on plan but not off the rails either.  Weigh in tomorrow morning and no matter how it goes I'm back on plan 120%.  Made a huge vat of bolognaise in the slow cooker last night still to portion that up and chilli will go in next.

Have a good day everyone

@joedenise I was including the hi fi bar in my syns total - will only have a single rum - I'm such a lightweight when it comes to alcohol! DDad lives just outside Paphos in the hills of Tala. It's a 10 minute drive to Paphos/Coral Bay. He retired out there 20 years ago, beautiful place.

@Jellybaby if by big birthday you mean 50 then I can admit to being almost 3 years past it and still regular as clockwork. DSis says I'm a freak of nature! Full TOTM hasn't happened yet, but all other symptoms being felt. Not hopeful for weigh in tomorrow but we'll see.....
