    Hiya
Work has been insane today- not as many calls as Monday but constant calls queuing all day. I finished work 20 mins late- I did an hours flexi as well so I was exhausted when I finished. I managed to get out for a walk on my break though which was nice- it blew the cobwebs away but I paid for it an hour later when I had a hypo!

I’ve discovered it takes a while for the medication to leave my system- I think it’s probably going to be about a week before I see any sort of difference. I’m away next week- very excited as I’m off to London to see James Arthur at the Royal Albert Hall. I’ve booked an extra day as I’ve been working so hard, I need a break.

Still had problems with feeling hungry today- I hope this hurries up and settles down!

    Tuesday’s food
B: Scrambled egg and tomatoes on toast (HEXB +4) HiFi bar (3)
L: Mackerel, couscous (0.5) veg. Skinny bar (3) grapes
D- Spaghetti and meatballs (2 Syns for meatballs. Sauce was Passata and I had some salad as well)
    S: Crisps (6.5)
    Syns: 19

    Night all xx

Morning all, it's still wet out there.  It's WI this morning but I'm not holding out any hope of a loss after the weekend although has been definite damage limitation since!  I'm just going to weigh and go this morning so that I can get my shopping done and back home for a reasonable time lunch!

The oven baked risotto was quite tasty but the timings given were a bit too long as the risotto had absorbed all the stock and was a bit overcooked.  Will need to add some extra stock when I reheat it for lunch today!  I used a white wine stockpot rather than the vegetable stock in the recipe.  I also added mushrooms for extra Speed.

    Today's plan:

    B - mushroom omelette - P; S
    L - LO bacon and tomato risotto - P; S; F
    D - butternut squash & chickpea tagine, herby couscous - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
HEB - none planned but maybe crackers & Primula later (2nd HEA)
Syns - couple of rum & ginger beer 5

    Have a good day everyone.

Back later after WI with the damage (or otherwise!).

Morning all.  Glad to hear you had a good birthday @Jellybaby and also hope you get the heating sorted soon @bubbs!

Went for a rather soggy walk after work last night but felt a lot better for it.  Haven't had breakfast yet but will be some ff yogurt with strawberries left over from pancakes last night.  Lunch is more tomato and pepper soup with cheese on toast and then dinner tonight is chicken and leek pasta carbonara style thing - was going to be risotto but I just remembered that we didn't have enough arborio rice for the two of us.

Right off to make another coffee before my 9am call.  Hope you all have a good day!

Back again!  Change of plan:  DH reckoned there's too much risotto left to have for lunch so we're going to have veg soup for lunch and LO risotto for dinner!

I'm still going to make the tagine but we'll have that for dinner tomorrow night instead.  It usually tastes better reheated anyway.  I'm planning on making enough to get at least 2 and hopefully 4 portions into the freezer!  The recipe says serves 4-6 so will have to wait and see.

As expected no loss at WI this morning but a gain of 0.5lb.  I'm OK with that after the weekend away with plenty of alcohol and a non SW friendly meal out including chips (even if I didn't' eat many of them!).  Will need to stick to plan going forwards but don't think we've got any meals or drinks out before our holiday at the end of the month so should be much more doable but we will see.  I can't see me getting back to target before my holiday but all I can do is to try!

Meant to say Lidl have a good offer on Princes tuna in brine - 6 cans for £4.25 which isn't much more than I usually pay for 4.  Picked up a pack as it's always useful for sandwiches, jacket topping or with salads.  May even do a pasta bake with some of it!

    Thanks Coxy and Ruby

No the boiler is not fixed, he had a fall and had to go home as felt awful as whacked his head:( He is coming tomorrow now 😂 worst thing is not having a shower, but years ago we had a bath on a Sunday and that was it! with energy prices increasing might be going back to it 🤣🤣 .....not really!

Denise i would like 1/2lb gain, don't think it will happen though 😂 that was good after having a sinful weekend.

I had hot chicken salad for lunch and we have a nice hearty casserole for tea 😋😋😋

For your first weekend away in ages and the sunshine @joedenise, I'd take half a pound. 😁

Thanks for the heads up on Asda @bubbs. I'm OK for beans at the moment but the tomatoes are a good price. I went for a pedicure this afternoon and bought beetroot from Farmfoods. It's 49p for 500g which is a lot cheaper than jars as I like both. I don't know how I'd manage without my pickles. 🤣

I did a large saucepan of pilau rice earlier so need to portion that up for the freezer. Now I just need to make a curry sometime. 🤔

Hope the mushroom pasta improved with the extra cheese @Coxy11

Football tonight so we'll need to eat earlier than usual.

    Today's EE plan -
B- bacon, fried eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L- JP (F), cottage cheese, ham(P), tomato, beetroot, spring onion, cornichons (S)
    D- veggie chilli (P, S), brown rice (F)
    Syns - 0

I'm quite happy with 0.5lb with my synful weekend!

I just wish I'd seen your Asda offer on tomatoes @bubbs before I went shopping as topped up my tomato stores today so unless the offer goes on for a few weeks I won't be able to make use of it!  I'm OK for beans too at the moment but don't keep big stocks of them, apart from baked beans! as I mainly use dried ones.

I've got a butternut squash and chickpea tagine on the go at the moment which will be for dinner tomorrow plus some for the freezer.  I've added 60g of apricots to it which is only 6 syns (or HEB) so hopefully will work out at 1-1.5 per portion depending on how many portions I manage to get out of it!

    Another good day @Its_time today.

    Enjoy the football tonight @maman.
