Brilliant losses @annabanana82 for both of you, well done 👏👏👏.  Have you menu planned for this coming week?  It really helps and make it much easier to stick to plan - it also helps with making sure you've got the right foods for your planned meals.

I still need to do some shopping; I'm going to pick up the most urgent bits tomorrow but won't do a proper shop until Wednesday.

Very well done to you and your daughter @annabanana82! 👏👏👏

Try to take a few minutes to make a plan before you do your shop tomorrow. I find it very mse as well as taking all the 'what shall we have?' away during the week.

Thanks for the recipe review @Coxy11. Perhaps it was the yogurt that made it bland? 🤔 The garlic mushroom recipe and another that I use for mushroom stroganoff is similar but uses all cheese. I use Primula and a bit of Parmesan but @bubbs uses cheese triangles.
  • Thank you all, I haven't meal planned yet but I need too so will be my job tonight.
The extra bonus of when I'm in control of my eating I'm also in control of my spending far more!
I think my meal planning the last 6 weeks has really helped protect me against the increased prices in the shops.

Yes @maman think it was the yoghurt - don’t like it at the best of times. Should learn my lesson lol

    Hiya
Sorry I’ve been AWOL again but I have been lurking. Today (Monday) has been the first day of being diet controlled and I’ve been utterly miserable. I’ve been so strict with myself- went to WI and I had gained 3.5lbs (but I was so bunged up I’m not surprised) I’ve been so used to having to eat every couple of hours that my belly has been rumbling so loudly all day 😂
I’ve managed to stay within Syns today though. As I did yesterday (but when I woke up this morning I had put 3lbs on which was incredibly frustrating!!
    Monday’s food:
    B: Bacon sandwich (HEXB + 4) 2 x HiFi bars- 6 (I had a hissy fit at group :D
L: Mackerel, couscous (0.5) veg. Banana
D- SW chicken sausages, potatoes, veg. Grapes
S: Blueberries, FF natural Greek yoghurt, 25g low sugar granola (6) Gin and orange (0.5- 0% gin and sugar free orange Tango :D
    Syns: 17

    Night all xx

Morning all, a really horrible, wet morning today!  DH is picking up his new to him car this morning so we'll be a 2 car couple again!

@Its_time - well done on recognising that you needed to draw the line and jump straight back onto plan.  Would it help with syns if you changed either your lunch or breakfast so that you didn't always need to start the day using 6 syns?  Perhaps you could have something like a veggie omelette to start the day or a jacket potato with beans and a salad for lunch.  I don't know how feasible that would be for you but it does seem a bit of a waste having to use 6 syns every day so that you can have weetabix and and a sandwich!

@MrsRyan - sorry to hear you put on this week.  It must be difficult getting back on plan when you were having to eat every couple of hours previously.  Well done on getting back on plan yesterday.  Just take it one day at a time.  You know the plan works.

    Today's plan:

    B - porridge, fruit - HEB; S
    L - jacket potato, cottage cheese, salad - P; S; F
    D - Bacon and tomato oven baked risotto - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - porridge
    Syns - none planned

Hopefully I've done enough damage limitation to at least get STS tomorrow at WI!

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning everyone,

Good to see you @Mrs_Ryan - glad that you are back on plan but sorry you are feeling low. I hope you have a better day today xx

A wet start here and due to get worse. DSis is coming up for lunch and we are going to a local deli. I know they do a chicken skewer with salad - some syns but hopefully not a lot.

    Other food today:
    B - blueberries, satsumas x 2 - S
L - out with DSis - will count 5 syns
D - smoky chicken and butter bean bake (another new recipe from the mag) - 1.5 syns
    HEA - skimmed milk
HEA - 3 mini babybel light
    HEB - hi fi bar
    Total syns - 6.5(?)

    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy

Morning all.  Well done on the loss @annabanana82.  I also love mince pies @Its_time and have 3 jars of mincemeat in the cupboard ready to make some more at Christmas this year.  Well done on getting off the meds @Mrs_Ryan, you can do this!  Hope you have a safe journey home @bubbs.

Enjoyed my walk last night but woke up with a tight chest this morning and feeling a bit "meh" again so taking it easy today.  Had usual ff yogurt and blueberries for breakfast, lunch is more soup and cheese on toast and then we're having pancakes this evening - has to be done!  I will be having strawberries with mine though 😏

Hope everyone has a good day!
