Apologies for nagging you about the Speed @Its_time but I really believe, along with planning, it's the most important thing about SW. You've had a really good day today. 👍

I feel for you, cooking all that stuff for the family and then having the willpower to not eat it yourself. I do hope they're appreciative and also supportive of you. Are they happy to eat SW friendly meals? 🤔 It's tough when you have to cook different meals. My DH and I have SW breakfast and dinner but do our own thing for lunch when he has his (shop bought) cakes, biscuits and extra bread along with other synful stuff.

    Morning everyone,

Thanks @beanielou I did check that but it's B@rclaycard and it's completely stopped, including DH's partner card. Oh well, lesson learnt to keep it safe!

Wow @Its_time so much baking and none of it for you! That's such a test of will, well done!

My headache persisted yesterday even after a 5k walk, so I was kind to myself and once the bathrooms were cleaned and ironing was done (essential school uniform) I had some TV and reading time. DH got home from his trip around 8.30pm and I was in bed for 10pm once he'd shared his photos and tales of wild camping on a mountain  :open_mouth:

    Food today will be:
    B - pineapple spears, satsuma x 2, WM toast, 1 tsp jam - F, S, HEB, 0.5
    L - peppered mackerel, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles - 2, S
    D - mushroom tagliatelle - 0.5
    HEA - skimmed milk
HEA - 3 mini babybel light
    Snacks - hi fi bar, blueberries - 3, S
    Total syns - 6

    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy

Morning all, not looking as nice today as it was over the weekend but planning on getting a machine load of washing out on the line.  I also need to wash the mats from the motorhome as it looks like I didn't' do them when we came back from our trip to France in December - probably because of the poor weather!

You had a really good day yesterday @Its_time and you definitely have plenty of will power with doing all that sweet cooking and not eating it!  DH has asked me to make him some mince pies so will try and get them done while he's at golf this morning - I'm not overly keen on them so they are probably one of the safest things for me to cook!

Damage limitation needed today and tomorrow before WI on Wednesday so today's plan:

    B - Welsh rarebit - HEB; HEA2; P; F
    L - jacket potato; cottage cheese; salad - P; S; F
    D - spag bol - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Morning all.  Well done on the loss @Its_time and hope your dad is ok @bubbs.

Lost 1.5lbs myself this week which is probably due to not eating a lot earlier on last week when I was ill 😏  Still not feeling 100% so easing myself back into being a bit more active with a planned walk this afternoon to the post office and then back through the woods.  Had ff yogurt and blueberries for breakfast this morning, lunch is roasted tomato and red pepper soup with some cheese on toast and dinner is cottage pie with broccoli and cauliflower on the side.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Change of plan for lunch!  Haven't got any decent size potatoes for jacket so it's going to be some veg and pearl barley soup from the freezer!

DH's mince pies are now made and cooling on the rack.  Just need to try and clean the spills from the mincemeat which bubbled out from the tray - I've just got it in soak at the moment so will give it a go once it's soaked for a while.  If I can't get it clean DH can have a go at it when he gets in!

Well done on the loss @ruby_eskimo.  Sorry to hear you're still not feeling 100%, hope you feel better soon.

Good loss @ruby_eskimo.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Enjoy your walk, I'm sure some fresh air will help.

Your DH chose the right weekend for wild camping @Coxy11 but I don't think it's for me. You sound like a sporty family. I'm more of a spectator. 😊 I do hope you've got over the stresses from yesterday. How do you make your mushroom tagliatelle? 🤔 I love mushrooms and I'm always on the lookout for veggie recipes to cut back on meat.

Mince pies in March @joedenise ?🎄 🤣 I was thinking about that when I had the baking tins out for Yorkshires yesterday. They rarely see the light of day except for Christmas.

I've got a clear week with no eating out planned until Saturday. I'm thinking of going to WI next week. If I'm within target then it will see me past my birthday as we're going away for a few days and it would be good to go off plan if I want to. 🤔 I've sent off for a new passport today too as really hoping our sunshine holiday happens in June, delayed from 2 years ago.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, fried eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S)
L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- baked salmon (F), cubed potatoes (F), carrots, spicy cauli, green stuff (S)
    Syns- 0

@maman it's a new recipe to us - in the latest SW mag.

Fry off 500g thickly sliced chestnut mushrooms, remove to a dish. Fry off a finely diced onion then 3 cloves of garlic, put the mushrooms back in the pan. Cook 500g fresh tagliatelle (wow such luxury after years and years of dried pasta) and then make the creamy sauce which is 200g FF greek yog at room temp plus 25g extra light plain soft cheese. Combine it all together and sprinkle with chopped chives. Serves 4.

I will report back later   ;)
