£2 savers club for 2022

Yesterday, I didn't quite get the idea over before the till was shut but the dear lady at Asda opened it Anyway, and handed me a £2 coin, which turned out to be the Florence Nightingale one! Delight and amusement on both sides.2

Either I've missed a memo or you're all doing so well, you're too busy to post. Today son handed me £2 in small change & was seen wrestling with the shopping bag into which he had dropped a car key. Lovely Asda assistant agreed the rules & ignored them anyway, sorted me a plain £2 and we forecast a rather puny Christmas - she was much amused that I have taken up knitting but the scarf I was working on while listening to Django Unchained needs to go to someone who Really loves me.
I must now go refund son, that he learns the first rules of creditworthiness - you do repay a loan.2 -
June's total is a measly 3 £2 coins, 2 plain & 1 Trevithick Steam Locomotive.
I know my son has some coins for me so will look forward to getting those in a couple of weeks when I next see himFeb'15 £118411.00 Jan '16 £112665.10 Jan 17 £106790.00, Jan 18 £99268.10 April ‘19 £57052.26, Oct ‘20 £46015.42 £2.00 Savers Club, 🎖, 2015 £332, 2016 £356, 2017 £312, 2018 £254, 2019 £668, 2020 £880.00, 2021 £104, 2022 £158, 2023 £68, 2024 Emergency Fund £2500/£1000 :j3 -
I had an amazing month of collecting £2 coins! I have bagged £76 worth. Mainly plain but had 3 pictures: DNA, Rugby and a WW one. I swapped a few at school last week as we took the chidren to the beach and asked for £2 towards an ice-cream. I made the bursar's job easier for her to bank notes rather than coins!£2 Savers Club 2024 #4 (£102/£300)

Hello everyone. It seems to have been a long time since I was on here. New internet provider now up and running (finally) so I'm back online.
You are all doing so well. I've been missing out on £2 coins with no bingo on Tuesdays during June but Sunday's have generated another £48 for me so that's not too bad. I did some banking for a friend and she had 2 x £2 coins for me so I swapped those for £1 coins. And I actually got some from the self service checkout in MrT's so my faith has been restored there. Although I'm starting to think that Asda is the place to go now, judging from comments above.
As you know, I'm an accountant in my spare time and not being able to go online to submit tax returns means I now have a backlog. But I'm slowly catching up this weekend and have clients visiting next week to sign everything off. Then it's down to the nitty gritty ones who don't provide receipts but still think they can claim for it, or those who can't be bothered to answer my emails/calls.
Just done the ironing so everything is ship-shape at home. Hubby is away with the dog so it's just me and the cat to keep each other company!
Have a great Sunday everyone£2 coin savings club 2025 #1 £166 (2024 £692; 2023 £754; 2022 £472; 2021 £256; 2020 £358; 2019 £512; 2018 £404; 2017 640)Saving for Xmas 202 £1 a day #4 £365 / £365 3-6 month emergency fund challenge #48 £10,030 Save a penny a day 2024 #32 £ . / £667.95 £1000 emergency fund challenge #232 £1,007/ £1,000 (achieved Nov 2020)3 -

Well done Hummingbird0_12. Yes the totals do creep up and before you know it, you've got a tidy sum to spend on whatever you like at the end of the year
.
I was away last week. Went for a camping holiday in lovely Dorset and it was very busy there. I've never been to Lyme Regis so we took the bus there for a day trip out. Perhaps we shouldn't have gone on a hot, sunny Sunday but we did - and was not prepared for how busy it was. Barely a grain of sand was visible on the beach! That said, I treated myself to a pair of sandals that were in the sale and I did pick up 8 lovely gold coins from there which have been safely potted - all plain except for one I've not had before. It is the "anniversary of the golden guinea" minted in 2013.
Went to bingo last night and although not successful in getting a shout, I did manage to pick up a further 6 coins - all plain except for a Brittannia coin. So not a wasted evening after all.
It's quite warm here in West Cornwall. Currently sitting in a draught to keep cool before my work day starts. Now off to water the poor plants who are screaming out for water.
Stay cool and safe everyone.£2 coin savings club 2025 #1 £166 (2024 £692; 2023 £754; 2022 £472; 2021 £256; 2020 £358; 2019 £512; 2018 £404; 2017 640)Saving for Xmas 202 £1 a day #4 £365 / £365 3-6 month emergency fund challenge #48 £10,030 Save a penny a day 2024 #32 £ . / £667.95 £1000 emergency fund challenge #232 £1,007/ £1,000 (achieved Nov 2020)1 -
Another single plain coin for the pig. I think the sweet lady in Asda was too hot to argue!1

Greetings, team!
Haven't visited for a while but I have been busily potting away! Have managed to gather a haul of 18 new coins including 2 fancies - a First World War 'Your Country Needs You' and a Darwin - and am now the proud owner of £130 which is my biggest total by far over the last few years and we're still only in July! School is now officially out for the summer so there will be a bit more spending but hopefully that will generate a few more coins, so I'm feeling quietly confident I can hit that £200 target this year!
You're all doing great and I love reading about your adventures and your crazy capers to get your hands on those precious coins! Bring on a summer of success for us all!xxx
