  • Just eviscerated Piggy to find I have 70 plains & 4 pretties. (Could Have Sworn I had more pretties!) I may have to go to the post office & plead, but the restart of Scouts will make me wanting sacks of mixed change much less odd.
  • I've also had to have my brake pads replaced and the oil service light has now come on!

  • Where has the time gone - it's positively flying.  Everyone is doing so well  :)

DigForVictory - I'm the district treasurer for the scouts in my neck of the woods so do all of the banking.  Obviously, I swap out the £2 for £1 coins - couldn't bear to bank them when there is the chance they can go in my pot!

Nellie75 - I hope your car service wasn't too painful from the money perspective - and well done on the quiz result  :).

Grumpyoldmoo - your total is really starting to creep up now.

    Hummingbird0_12 - Another 8 coins is a good haul.

I've now recovered financially from the car expenses.  With a bit of luck, it should run trouble free for another year or two.  Had the MOT done at the beginning of September and aware that tyres will need replacing next year but I've got savings ready for that.  Thank goodness for an emergency fund for these trials as and when they arrive but that fund will take a while to get back to where it was - ready for the next emergency to occur.

There has been very little bingo.  It was ceased when HM The Queen passed last month until after her funeral and then mostly cancelled again on Tuesdays as the main members were away on holiday.  We should be finally back next week!  Looking forward to meeting up with my bingo pals.

In the meantime, my main access to those lovely £2 coins has been my corner shop.  So for September up to now, I've managed to get 15 coins.  All plain but all welcome.

Lets see what we can all find in October.

    Happy saving.
